Yeah, go root for a team that actually wants to win Stanley Cups.
-
Why can't Holland trade two prospects no one has ever heard of and a 1st round pick (which is effectively a 2nd for the Pens), for Jarome Iginla? I guess they have a GM that actually makes moves, instead of offering contracts to former castoffs.
-
Holland knew this (and Carlo CocaCola's past) and still made those signings. It's not like they came to the Wings for free either. Terrible GM work.

Red Wings lead NHL in man-games lost to injury

I hope the team doctors have committed harakiri already, because of this great dishonor. -
Chara could be legit, but fights too scared against heavies. Anytime the fight gets interesting, he's gone for the takedown, or magically slipped. I remember the fight against Cairns. His fights against Laraque and Brashear were boring hugfests. When was the last time giraffe has even had a real fight against a top heavy? f*** Chara. He's a spotpicker.

If Kesler is tough, then I'm Steve McQueen.

The guy did nothing while his team was pushed around during the 2011 Finals.

Fake toughest? Bieksa Legit toughest? MacIntyre Biggest clown? Carcillo Classiest? Datsyuk

Imagine what this trade would do in exciting the JLA crowd and Detroit in general. Interest in this team would spark immediately. Sadly, it seems to be waning in recent years with mediocrity.

What happens when you mix the greyhound bus logo with bland colors and pointless stripes?

What will Cleary wear?

What number will Iginla wear in Detroit?

Semin re-signs with Carolina: 5 years, $35 million ($7M/yr)

OMG, overpayment!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I had to say LGW favorite phrase when another team makes "any" signing. -
Nobody wants to give up good, young forwards. Look how much money Anaheim was willing to shell out for Getzlaf and Perry.
-
I think Boston is most likely to get him. Chicago has a young and successful team. Can't see them mortgaging their future. Calgary would be dumb to trade Iginla in the division, so I don't see Vancouver getting him. Pens? Maybe but I doubt it.
-
May as well. He'll likely want more money coming soon. We don't want to let him walk in the offseason for nothing. And he's still in his 20's and can play in their top 6 right away.
-
Of course it would. You think they want McCollum and Ferraro or something?
-
I think everyone in Calgary would be pissed with that trade right away. Never know how it would turn out, but it doesn't look pleasing to the fanbase on paper.
-
Our GM would give up a first round pick for s***.
-
Take it easy. I've edited it since then.
-
You would take that trade if you were Calgary's GM?
-
Really? How about if we knocked off Quincey from the list? And say they send McGrattan going the other way with Iginla. So you have, Filppula, Nyquist and a pick for Iginla and McGrattan.
-
Does Samuelsson count as a prospect?
-
Filppula, Nyquist and a pick for Iginla and McGrattan. Let the crazy proposals begin!
-
I will still likely put together some unrealistic proposals in the upcoming "Iginla thread". I welcome others to do the same.
