You're right, I should have put Osgood on my list in retrospect. Just for 2008 and 2009 (although we like to forget the latter season around here).

Players That Never Played in Detroit
GMRwings1983 replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
Not counting enforcers (which would be 95% of my list), I'll name a few. Bure Belfour Price Bure is my favorite non-Wing ever, and like many Wings fans, I often fantasize about other teams' goalies playing for us. -
I forgot how to post videos here, but Cory Cross's dismantling of Steve Ott is one of the greatest pugilistic moments in modern Red Wings history. I couldn't forget him for that. I did! I remembered the Ellis/Hussey/Langfeld line. One of my favorite lines ever for comical reasons.

OK. I'd rank Yzerman a little higher then. Hasek I might include in the top 10, but he was on and off in Hockeytown.
-
I love Yzerman, but the thread says since 2002. I thought that meant the 2002 playoffs don't count. After that season, all I remember from Stevie were injuries and waiting for him to return. I don't see how he can rank really high here. His impact diminished and I remember him even playing on the 3rd line.
-
That was the only one I missed in the first column. In the second column, I only missed Markov, Salei and Meech.
-
Top 3 are obvious, but Hasek and Hossa are ranked too high, and Holmstrom and Kronwall are ranked too low. Hossa did s*** for us in the playoffs and was only here one year. He shouldn't even be on the list actually. Here's my top 10. 1. Lidstrom 2. Datsyuk 3. Zetterberg 4. Holmstrom 5. Rafalski 6. Shanahan 7. Kronwall 8. Franzen 9. Yzerman 10. Lilja

Only one I could think of was Aaron Downey.
-
Sign him Kenny! There won't be a season anyway, so we can undo it later.
-
So what exciting rule changes will come out of this particular lockout, to draw casual fans back to hockey? Soccer sized nets?
-
Makes sense, since Babcock uses like 9 different forwards to kill penalties throughout the course of various games. Unfortunately, this list doesn't mean much in terms of success.
-
Well, there's no telling what our powerplay will look like in 2014.
-
As far as I'm concerned, we should have a big bearded thug playing on the 4th line, ahead of either Emmerton or any AHL'ers whose names I can't pronounce.
-
Did you ask him if Samuelsson will play the point on the powerplay?
-
Speaking of doomsday, Fehr reminds me of Dr. Strangelove, and all these meetings remind me of the "War Room" in the movie. These morons will never get anything accomplished. Except this s*** isn't funny and the league will be ruined after this.
-
During the last lockout, there were moments when it looked like the season was saved, and then nothing happened. I expect as much with these idiots. This league is more inept than the XFL.
-
They should do a reality show about hockey wives and girlfriends. May as well, since there's no games around, so at least their wives can entertain the viewers.
-
Favorite memory is that time he screened the goalie on the powerplay, and deflected a Lidstrom shot into the net. It was awesome!
-
Yeah, they need to show more classic stuff and less re-runs of the most recent playoffs, which were a freaking bore to begin with. Their nightly game recaps are pretty good when the season is actually going on. Wouldn't hurt to actually cover the lockout once in a while.
-
Both sides in this lockout are convinced the fans will love them no matter what, and that hockey is the most popular sport in this country that people watch constantly in all regions. They're either that naive, or simply don't freaking care as long as they get paid. If it's the latter, they have to realize they will get hurt long term by a full season lockout. This league can't afford another lockout in this country.
-
I've never been able to understand the European cap rules and financial fair play. All I know is that teams are buying players like crazy, while lesser clubs even in the top tier have no chance of ever challenging for the league. I'm not sure if the NHL would want to go that route at this point.
-
I feel confident saying that there won't be a season. Hope I'm wrong, but the two sides don't see like they care anymore.

For Fun.. Most Hated Players lineup

I just realized that I didn't put Tootoo on the list. Interesting, because I've always despised that little prick. I wonder if that'll change now? -

If Janssen didn't make those stupid faces during his fights, I wouldn't have put him on the list. -
