This would be a great line if Bertuzzi was transported to 2004 and Franzen transported to 2008. That aside, this line is a joke and so is Babcock for continuing to put them on the ice, instead of putting Datsyuk and Zetterberg together for the final games against Nashville. Don't know if he was just trying to prove a point or what.

Even the coach thinks they choked.

Technically, we weren't a favorite, let alone the top seed.

#8 Los Angeles Kings vs. #1 Vancouver Canucks

The Lakers ones were pretty cool. So were the Gretzky era ones. As were the ones from early 2000's. These jerseys are just garbage. The stripes suck and there's no real logo. -
They almost choked in the first round last year after winning the President's trophy. Now they did actually choke. The Rangers might be joining them soon. That would be crazy.

I love you too, ex-wife. How did you get on this forum?

Babcock should go on Leno tomorrow night to voice his displeasure.

Well, the OT's haven't been one sided, just really free flowing and open. Even the teams that will advance have played that open style. Many of these games aren't even going 5 minutes before they're over.

They do, because Chicago can actually score goals and not hit shinpads and crests. -

Seeding has become totally irrelevant in the NHL playoffs. I mean there's always been upsets in history, but in the last 10 years it's become ridiculous. -
This team has been dead to me since they let Aaron Downey (El Savior) go.

Easily the Hudler one. Lidstrom will eventually retire. If not this season, than next. Lilja I would welcome of course. Guy won us the Cup with his manhood. Wouldn't want Vancouver to win, but I expected that this season. Holland's statement wouldn't surprise me. It's what we've come to expect from him.

The Flyers and their fans are going to be very nervous tonight. Especially if the Pens score first. On the opposite side, can you imagine how excited and loud the Pens arena will be if there's a game 7? Pressure is definitely on the Flyers not to choke this series away. -

The last two times Chicago was eliminated from the playoffs was in OT. Hope that trend continues. -
I've met more annoying Blues fans than most people here have. I can't imagine how they'll act if they actually win something.

The idea is to make sure that Raffi Torres never plays a second of hockey again. He's one of (if not the) dirtiest player in the league.

Attempts to injure back then weren't what they are now. Now everyone wants to jump up and hit someone in the head. Everyone is wearing helmets, yet concussions are rampant. I just don't like how fighting is grouped together with cheap hits under the term "hockey violence". I don't think that's fair.
-
There were way more brawls in the 70's and 80's than there are now. But the hits to the head weren't as pervasive as they are now. Players are just out to injure each other now with cheap hits. Maybe it's because back then players didn't wear helmets, so no one wanted to possibly kill someone on the ice with a dirty hit to the head.

Douglas Murray please.

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run
GMRwings1983 replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
We may as well have traded that top pick for Gaustad instead of Quincey. I know Lidstrom and Stuart are probably leaving, but Quincey won't replace either of those players adequately. Gaustad is big, physical and a great faceoff man. We could use someone like that on our team right now, instead of some timid, turnover prone defenseman. -

Agree. I once got negged just because I said Crosby is a better leader than Yzerman. Go figure. -

I blame our loss on Dabura's return to LGW.
