Figured Tampa would be sellers, since they're not going to make the playoffs. -
Holland has already fleeced Buffalo before.
-
Then Holland should be on his way out.
-
Gaustad would indeed make our bottom lines tougher to play against in the playoffs. He's also bigger than any of our bottom 6 forwards. It'd be nice if Holland could fleece Kassian out of Buffalo, for the future. He's could be a pretty good power forward somewhere down the line. I just don't think Buffalo would move him.

As I said in the GDT arlier, Franzen is in his early 30's, meaning his work ethic is unlikely to improve at this stage in his career. His work ethic was great early on in Detroit, when he played on the 4th line and then had to prove himself on the top two lines. Since then, he has indeed been a floater. The reason people are upset about him, is that they see guys like Helm or Miller busting their ass off on every shift and want Franzen to do the same. They figure that Franzen + Helm's work ethic = 50 goal scorer every season. It's not entirely a bad argument.

Read post directly below yours. "Elementary dear chrisdetroit"

He leads the league in GWG. Close thread.

This doesn't get mentioned enough around here. I'm glad you brought it up. You know what I realize now. Franzen is in his early 30's and it's too late to instill any kind of work ethic in him. He'll never play hard every game, because that's something a player has to learn early on in his career. Babcock has never really punished him, Holland kept him over Hossa, and he's not likely to be traded. As I stated earlier, he has immunity and knows it.
-
That might happen, but it has nothing to do with Ericsson's injury.
-
When has Babcock ever punished Franzen in that fashion?
-
There goes our chance at a Stanley Cup.
-
That's called being a prick? Well, I'm glad you didn't read my posts 4 or 5 years ago. I just think you're dead wrong on your outlook towards the fight in the 3rd period. So do most people here apparently. Because he knows he's got immunity. He knows he won't be traded because he's played well in the playoffs before. Basically, he feels like he doesn't have to try every shift. Unlike a guy like Miller, who knows he has to bust his ass to keep his spot on the team.
-
Dude, Matt Hussey would be an upgrade over Emmerton.
-
Our line combos will look different next game with Selanne.
-
I wasn't being a prick. Just stating the obvious. Watching your teammate take it on the chin to spark the team does motivate players sometimes. Hudler doesn't always crash the net exactly.
-
Are you new to watching sports? Players often get motivated by their teammate's actions and example.
-
Well, it looks like Abby's face actually gave us momentum.
-
Hey, if you guys want a team to win games and fights...........well, then go be a Boston fan.
-
There goes our punching bag Abby. Boxing lessons my ass.
-
BTW, I think Pavel Bure has a bit of an unfair advantage, playing against guys 30 years older than him.
-
Then I'm surprised Datsyuk is number 1. Does he hang out with so many NHL players in his free time, that they voted him nicest guy off the ice? I mean, teammates would have better knowledge of that off ice stuff than guys playing for other teams.
-
What does nicest mean? Off the ice or on?
