Wow! If someone told me the bolded part before the season, I'd never believe them. 9 goals at the All Star break, and he's played basically every game.

Hudler dealt for Parise? Lamoriello isn't that crazy. Who else would be in the deal? Stuart? He wants to play in California and wouldn't waive his no-trade clause to go to Hoboken. None of our prospects or picks would be enough for a Parise.

I'd take him. In fact, that's what happened to me in NHL 12 (the Stars offered him for Hudler and McGrattan) and I won the Cup! He'd be a beast and would play his heart on every shift for a Cup. And he's still a pretty solid player, albeit he's struggled a little this year. Maybe a change of scenery would spark him. Would I want him over Perry, Iginla or Ryan? No. But those guys would likely be harder to get.

Emmerton is just another easily replaceable 4th liner. There are many people we could play instead of him and get a better or similar result. Holmstrom is playing because he has immunity on this team and will be important in the playoffs on the powerplay. I expect Babcock to rest him a lot late in the season because of his age. Miller had a really hot streak for a while and has outplayed anyone else on the 4th line. Mursak is a strange case, because he's not gritty enough to be on the checking line, but where else would he play? He's not going to crack the top 6 anytime soon.

Couldn't agree more. People say I'm a pro enforcer slappy yet I'm advocating for us to trade the best fighter on our team.

There's no telling what could have happened in this game if Ericsson didn't kill the comeback. That's the last straw. Time to trade him.
