The Blues don't have enough skill to make a playoff run. They play too conservative and boring. It may have worked with the 1999 Stars, but Hitchcock won't duplicate it with these young pricks. So he puts Hudler and Filppula out there to wrestle with Stewart and Backes, and he's laughing about it? Strange reaction.

Pretty much. His job is to stop shots, not to fight back after he gets run. Other guys should handle that s***.

You're not even a little ashamed that Howard gets pushed around every game, and he's the only Wing doing anything about it? Other teams goalies (besides Buffalo) have other players to handle that role. Howard sounded pretty upset when he made that statement a few weeks ago about "being tired of being run" or something like that. Not much has changed since then. Howard deserves more than this.

Why were Hudler, Lidstrom and Filppula on the ice? Didn't stop the Blues players from starting a scrum.

Babcock and Holland need to sit their asses down and do something about this s***. Howard gets run like this every game, and our genius coach puts our softest players on the ice right before an obvious scrum is about to happen.

Except Stewart wouldn't run Stuart if we had a Downey on our team. Knowing he'd have to deal with an enforcer later, or that the enforcer would go after someone like Oshie or Pietrangelo in return. He wouldn't have done that s***.

Everyone is tougher when they have backup. I'm just saying I'm disappointed with his play and think he's easily replaceable. Of course you can say the same about our other 4th liners. The OP started a thread complaining about his lack of icetime, and I don't think it's a big enough deal.
