Ericsson is in the lineup. He beat Dorsett and handled himself well with Clowe. He should challenge Doan. Plus, Doan injured him a few years back as well with a hit. It was clean, but what the hell.

I've been saying it since the 2010 playoffs, but someone on our team needs to man up to Doan. He always runs our players and acts like some tough dude, instead of acting like a 35 year old man with a broken hip. Babcock needs to call this team out.

Why are you guys such non-believers? I've talked with Jarome Iginla on several occasions over the last six months, and he tells me he'd love to win a Cup before his career is over.

For them maybe. But not for the younger players. Some of those guys may never get another chance to go and play with the best players in the world. Still, I don't like the ASG as much as I did when I was a kid. I don't know if the players were cooler then, or the format was better, or if I just had different tastes.

No, but they do play more inspired. What usually beats teams is not being good enough. In Detroit's case, the skill is there, but the effort doesn't always manifest itself.

I actually think this team would play harder every night if we had a fighter or big hitter on our 4th line. As it stands now, this team plays hard whenever they feel like it (like last night). There's no one out there to spark the team or change the tempo of a game. That's what happens when there isn't much balance in the lineup.

A few years ago, the Wings were probably the hardest working team in the NHL and I remember hearing announcers and analysts say as much. They weren't just all skill. I don't think that's true anymore. This team wins on pure skill and the work ethic just isn't there every game. Maybe they're too jaded and a change of some kind is needed. We've had the same lineup for almost 3 years now. It's getting a little stale at times.

Second in four nights actually. Because they looked lazy and unmotivated from the very beginning, it's hard to say they were tired as the game wore on.

Maltby was annoying, but I've honestly never thought of him as a dirty or cheap player. Kind of like Holmstrom. He yaps a lot and gets on people's nerves, but I don't remember him trying to end someone's season or anything like that.

The Wings don't have anyone to back Marchand's actions. He'd get murdered if he played for the Wings. But as I said earlier, I think he'd be a lot more timid in a different uniform. This retard ***** just acts tough because they have many fighters on their team to protect him.
