Well, we already have guys like Helm. Datsyuk is a skilled player, so he's not in the discussion here. I think we should be looking for player types we don't have. A bigger checking forward who busts his ass off every shift. I'd rather have that than a smaller checking forward who busts his ass off every shift, especially since we already have those types.

He has more in common with Gretzky than with Lemieux or Howe. Like Wayne, he wasn't the biggest or fastest player, but had an uncanny ability to outwork people for loose pucks and score tons of points. Also, Crosby is the best goal scorer in the league when healthy, despite the fact that I think of him as a pass first guy. Much like Wayne, who you don't think of as some pure goal scorer, yet he scored almost 900 in his career. And Wayne was also a pass first guy. He doesn't compare to Lemieux because of the size, or Howe because of how nasty Gordie played.

Howard continues to play well. In past years, we've blown leads before with sloppy plays and him giving up untimely goals. He made some big saves late in the game when we had the PP. You really have to play the PP as you normally would, and the Wings didn't. That's why we gave up so many chances. Otherwise, teams would kill penalties like that all the time.

Bertuzzi not only looks like Lurch, but he's just as stupid. His untimely penalties at his age are just inexcusable. Total bonehead.

Nothing is impossible in hockey.

Boston has the toughest team in the league right now, bar none. Thornton, Boychuk, Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, Campbell. These guys can all fight and are all regulars. No team dresses as tough a lineup every night. I hate those players more than anyone, but you can't take that away from them. If they ever call up MacIntyre, they'll have the best fighter in hockey today. They do, however dress Engelland, Asham and Kennedy. A legit heavy and a great middleweight in there. You have to dress tough guys if you're playing in that division. I wouldn't bring up the Sharks if I was you. It's poor salesmanship.

They sure do. And you can also count this year's Pens. Lots of tough teams win the Cup nowadays.

In 2008, when Aaron Downey was a Wing, Zetterberg scored 92 points in 75 games. Since then, his goal scoring has gone down drastically. This year, he's scored only 13 points in 22 games. Coincidence?
