I would rather have Semin than Franzen, honestly. Semin is just small and lazy. Franzen is big and lazy, which is worse. Doesn't use his size at all. Semin hasn't played well in the playoffs, but I think him and Datsyuk would be magic. A right-handed one timer and a fellow Russian might wake Pavel up. Datsyuk and Franzen just seem to have no chemistry, which is why they've never stayed together for long.

Grinders, checkers and fighters can spark their team with a big hit or fight. At the very least, they'll bring it on every shift and make us harder to play against. They can set the tempo for the game physically at any point. Other than Helm (who isn't big) and maybe Abby, we don't have anyone in our bottom 6 that makes us hard to play against or who can set the tempo for a game. If I'm another team, I'm not worried at all about the Wings 3rd and 4th lines. It's basically an off night.

As I said in another thread, if he was hurt, they should have sat him by now. He's only getting worse and is hurting the team with his play. He needs some time off if he's hurt. If he's not hurt, then he just isn't good anymore. At the very least, we'll never get the same Zetterberg that we had several years ago. I just didn't expect this fast a decline. His projected numbers this year are horrible.

Our "future" captain isn't looking too promising right now. Don't know what to do with him. If he was hurt, they'd have rested him by now instead of letting him continue to embarrass himself.
