Good to see him back. Now I hope he "Kronwalls" some hapless Blue. Maybe a 5 minute major will spark our team like it did St. Louis.

Based on that definition, every argument on LGW about anything is stupid, since there's always going to be disagreements and no consensus. Hence the term, "argument".

Hell, this was way worse than when Laperriere hit Lidstrom, yet Downey stepped in there and beat his ass. That sparked the team and helped us get out of our losing streak. This was a cheap ass hit if I ever saw one, and so far I saw nothing from the Wings to fire them up. It's early in the game and there hasn't been much 5 on 5 since the hit, so I'll hold off until I see how our tougher players respond the rest of the way.

Pretty much. Our guys don't do s***, the powerplay (our enforcer) stinks, and now we get scored on. Apparently, the cheap hit fired up the Blues and tamed the Wings. How pathetic.

We do have Ericsson, Abby and Commodore dressed for this game. They're hardly "enforcers", but they should do something if this s*** continues.

Who? Ericsson and Commodore weren't on the ice and Brad Stuart doesn't know how to fight. Someone should run Jackman from behind in the same fashion.

The trap is bad for hockey, but so is the butterfly style of goaltending. Hockey was more fun back when goalies sucked in the 1980's, and scoring from long slapshots was much easier. So what? The trap is just a part of hockey evolution, and I don't see how they're going to make it go away. Are refs going to watch for how teams defend now and call penalties for only having one forechecker? Seems silly to me.

It's funny how everyone was criticizing Ottawa after that game, for letting their goalie fight two fights in a row, including one against an enforcer. Now, all the criticism is leveled at Buffalo for being a gutless team.

Yeah, Stuart is too much of a "teddy bear" for a 6'2 defenseman from Western Canada. He lays the occasional big hits, but doesn't do anything after the whistle.
