Cody McCormick. Don't know if he got injured during his last fight or not. I don't think he played last night.

I don't think Kindl had much of a choice there. Benn basically jumped him.

It wouldn't be a big loss. He hasn't had a good season so far and surely the great Kenny Holland could find a comparable replacement with so much cap space, especially if Lidstrom retires also.

If words could describe how much I hate Lucic, I'd be the next Hemingway. I hate that hunchback spotpicker like no one else. And the Sabres need an enforcer on their team for a game like that. Boston ran Miller again later in the game with no repercussions.

That's overstating it. People rarely get injured in the ASG. Personally, if I was an NHL player, I'd love to play in the game. You get to play with players you won't have a chance to play with otherwise. It's the one time where all the best players are gathered under one roof for a hockey game. Also, there's many NHL'ers who will never get to play in the ASG, who'd give anything for a chance to be there one day. You can't take that for granted.

Does Zetterberg officially count as a former All-Star? I know he's been selected several times, but I don't think he's ever played.

It's certainly surprising. A few years ago, Phoenix, Colorado and LA all looked better than expected, and I started a thread asking about which of those teams could keep it up. They all wound up making the playoffs. You can expect teams like the Bruins, Canucks or Wings to pick it up at some point. But I think it wouldn't be a stretch to see all these surprising teams make the playoffs as well.
