I expect us to trade for Iginla by Thursday night.
-
Not if he stays healthy. He's got too great a shot from the point not to score a lot.
-
Does the game let you re-sign Kronwall mid season? Doesn't for me. I'm pretty sure he'll be worth more than what he signed in real life.
-
Only a few people picked Gordie Howe. Interesting.
-
I wonder if this exact signing will work in NHL 12 in my "Be A GM Mode"?
-
Surprised he didn't ask for more money, considering how much they paid Butt-Head in the offseason.
-
This reminds me of the Pens and Hawks. Years of sucking ass has resulted in many high draft picks. It's going to start paying off eventually, if not already now.
-
Didn't Ilitch say Bettman promised him a move to the East? I honestly don't see the Wings moving. The league will determine that it's worse for their business.
-
Edmonton has tried hard enough to do that over the years.

Good post, but before Crymson gets here and trolls I'll say this. OMG, WE'RE NOT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS. WE ONLY WON 4 CUPS IN THE LAST 15 YEARS AND I'M NOT SATISFIED. IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD. TRADE LIDSTROM AND DATSYUK FOR ENFORCERS!!!!!

Two future Wings trying to beat the hell out of one another. Love it.

Babcock is a great coach, but players do eventually tune a coach out of their minds after some time. I don't think he's a great motivator anymore, as witnessed by this team taking too many games off last season. He's a pretty intense guy, but it doesn't always seem to come through to his team. Too many floaters in the lineup which need to be motivated.

The Wings have a habit of putting skilled players on the 4th line, and expecting them to pull rabbits out of their ass. I'm sure eva will agree with me there. The 4th line is for grinders and fighters, not for a skilled player who should either play on the top 6, or not be in the lineup.

I wish we'd gotten Souray instead, with all due respect to Ian White. He's playing well in Dallas, is a big physical defenseman that we don't have, and has a rocket from the point. I know he's not a right handed shot, but we did fine when Lidstrom and Schneider quarterbacked the powerplay. Getting Souray was a gamble not many were GM's were willing to take, but Dallas's GM did it and it's paid off so far. That's what good GM's do. Holland has had a few signings like that in the past, but this time I give the nod to Dallas. Only problem is that Souray has been hurt a lot, so it remains to be seen whether he can hold it up. But it looks like a great move so far for them. I forgot to mention. The ladies in the water cooler section would love him.

Didn't get a chance to watch this game so let me take one guess as to what happened. Logo hunting?

Are you and Crymson dating? Most posters are just trying to make constructive posts about things we may or may not need for the long run. Just because a few people overreact doesn't mean everyone here sucks. Who are these better fans you speak of? Which team's fanbase? I'd like to know.
-
For some Norwegian defenseman who'll never play here.
-
Brunnstrom
-
Thanks for pointing this out for the millionth time.
-
Can we all at least agree that George Parros would be a big hit here?
-
If the Wings continue losing, Babcock should have them scrimmage against Grand Rapids. Maybe a little "tough love" is what the Wings need.
-
I've very proud of all those guys.

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Bertuzzi Hudler - Filppula - Franzen Holmstrom - Helm - Cleary Miller - Abdelkader - Eaves/Downey

About us needing someone like Parros and Erskine?
