It's all in good fun.

I didn't know that Crymson was an online columnist.

The question is hard to answer, since both players are expendable at this point. Draper will only play a year longer at most, and Hudler is just taking up roster space. So is Draper for that matter, when I think about it.

I'll give him a C. We didn't have many "big" free agents we needed to re-sign, other than Lidstrom, who wasn't going anywhere else and whose decision to return was solely his. Hence, Holland didn't keep any of our stars from leaving. Also, he overpaid Ericsson terribly, so I'm being generous in this paragraph when it comes to our free agent re-signings. Likewise, he didn't make any significant enough moves with free agents to get a better grade. He merely added some depth. We still need some more size in our bottom 6 forwards, and less injury plagued older players on our top 6. Those things haven't been addressed.

I'm excited about this!

If I remember correctly, it went something like this: Datsyuk - Datsyuk - Datsyuk Datsyuk - Datsyuk - Datsyuk Datsyuk - Datsyuk - Datsyuk Datsyuk - Datsyuk - Datsyuk

Less injuries. More fights. Not spotting 3 games in a playoff series to the other team.

As I said earlier, that doesn't matter. The league is less likely to make exceptions in the last several decades, than they were back in the 50's and 60's.
-
No. Most of those players played a long time ago, when things were done differently. Only guys on that list which played in the last 20 years are Gretzky and Lemieux, which are top 3 all-time players. Also, everyone raves about Yzerman and Messier all the time, and they didn't get a special exemption. Neither did Roy, who many people consider the best goalie ever. I don't see it being done for Lidstrom, even though he does belong in that class as far as accomplishments go. Lastly, I wonder why Bobby Hull isn't on that list? Wonder if it had something to do with him finishing his career elsewhere?

Still some noise about Wings picking up a top 4 Dman

He's just jesting. Nobody actually "wants" to play in Nashville. -
That shade of "yellow" makes me think they need to drink more water.

Lakers beat the Celtics in their last Finals meeting in 2010. Steelers have won 2 Superbowls since the Patriots last win. FC Barcelona owned ManU last month in the championship game. Also, they have Messi, and not Mickey Rooney's grandson.

It's easy to root for a team that leads the league in PIM every year.

Maybe Shea Weber will pull a "Hulk Hogan to the NWO" move, and join the Wings. -
Here are my favorite sports teams. Detroit Red Wings New York Yankees LA Lakers Pittsburgh Steelers FC Barcelona

Maybe Larry Murphy is planning a comeback. -
If Florida and Tampa moved, it would make things a lot easier on the eye when looking at that map. Then we could just have two Eastern divisions, instead of putting a city like New York or Washington in something called the South Division.

Why not have them compete for a starting job? The Wings are a professional sports team, and not a charity case. We don't owe Howard anything. We're trying to put together the best team possible. If he couldn't beat Vokoun for a job, he shouldn't be a starter.
-
Wait, so Howard is now a better goalie than Vokoun?
-
I can't believe he gave that bald announcer for the Sharks a good review. That guy is one of the biggest homer idiots in the league.
-
I would have traded Hudler for him straight up. I guess they finally realized Parros wasn't a great fighter.

I don't know why you guys are blowing Sheldon Souray. I doubt Angelica Bridges needs any help in that department. Here's another one, where Lilja absolutely pummels a soft Euro to the ice.

This is why Commodore was the best signing ever...

I always thought that was a picture of Joe Thornton.
