Considering you'd probably pay $5 million for Hudler, I'm not surprised.
-
At one time, he was one my favorite non-Wings. Then he went to Colorado, and that was the beginning of the end for him in my mind. Should have never left Anaheim and bolted to the Divealanche with his boy Selanne. I obviously didn't cheer for him when he went to St Louis or Nashville either. He did have a good career, though, and if not for injuries may have been a Hall of Fame player in the future.
-
Won't Cleary be almost 40 in six years? Doubt he'll still be playing with his list of injuries.
-
To the casual sports fan, there's a lot of strange looking names on that list to pronounce.
-
The Panthers just want to show their fans that they're committed to winning a Cup, and are willing to spend the money it takes. Good signing.
-
I've often wondered if Seattle or Portland would be willing to support NHL teams.

Anyone surprised Andreychuk didn't get in with his 600+ goals? -
Salt Lake City would never pull for a team full of predominantly "white" players.
-
With the salary cap going up, these so-called "overpayments" may not really be overpayments. We're going to see more and more of this.
-
Honest to God, I wouldn't pay him half that money. He's not that good and is often injured. Overrated player.
-
Pretty good price for the Pens. Looks like "Pascal's Wager" wasn't very good. He could have gotten more elsewhere.

It's amazing that with all the sports teams that have relocated in the last 10 years, this one remains in the same place.
-
Hopefully, they'll move to Saskatoon (the Paris of the North), and the Wings can continue their move to the East.
-
So are the Panthers Cup contenders now with this move? I personally think they're still one sniper away from being a big favorite in the East, now that they acquired one of the best power forwards in the game.

Your proposal is good as long as teams have equal travel against the other divisions. Otherwise, if you still have two Conferences, then the Central teams in your division will still have to do lots of travel to the West coast outside their time zones, and vice versa. Those 4 divisions should become independent of one another, where everyone travels the same.
-
I'm still angry that they fired Charissa Thompson for him. Nice going Versus.
-
He's taking his "no" talents to South Beach. Please tell me there will be a big press conference in Miami for this signing.

Lets think COMPLETELY outside of the box for one minute...

This isn't pro wrestling. Yzerman isn't going to lay down for Holland in some wonderful conspiracy like fashion. Why would he trade the future of his franchise after they just had a magical season and were within a game of the Finals? -
Too much money for this spotpicker. I'm glad he didn't wind up in Detroit.
-
Actually, they wouldn't skate circles around anyone. They'd just skate in circles period.
-
Did you read my posts above? I'm just not a fan of the 3rd/4th line Euros. The Wings in 1989 could have actually used some more Euros on the top line positions.
-
Larionov should have never left Detroit in the first place.
-
Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Fedorov and Zetterberg, because they were all drafted in later rounds. And of course Yan Golubovsky should be there as well. First round pick in 1994.
-
That lineup would make last year's team look like the Broad Street Bullies.
