Are the Flyers making a push for Weber and Crosby or something? Bizzarre moves. Or this. They got heat from the media for partying with pornstars or something. I never saw the big deal.
-
The travel will never be equal in between conferences, because there's always going to be less travel in the East. I'm almost inclined to say that there should be two Conferences, no divisions, 15 teams per conference, with the top 8 making the playoffs in each Conference. The Wings would move East, while Winnipeg would move West. That seems simple enough, and the Western teams would all do equal travel amongst themselves, with there being no divisional format.
-
Therein lies the problems. There's too many teams in the Northeast to put them in any other division. New Jersey New York Isles New York Rangers Pittsburgh Philly Boston Ottawa Montreal Toronto Buffalo Washington That's 11 teams not separated by much in terms of geographical difference. Now that I think about it, the current format actually makes more sense, despite my wishes to have the Wings move conferences.
-
I want the Wings to move East, but I want to see what the exact divisions are before I can decide whether I like it or not.

I was thinking of a yellowish color, and not the white and blue concept. Also, longer teeth and not have it's head turned in such a strange fashion. And no rainbow at the bottom, becuase of the connotations that go with that. Something like this internet picture, but more logoish.
-
That's probably why. Bettman doesn't want you at the game, because of all the hurtful things you've posted about him. You've lost your Winter Classic privileges.

Plus/Minus is a misleading stat between these 3 players. Lidstrom played in front of Jimmy Howard and his s***ty numbers, while Chara and Weber played in front of Thomas and Rinne, who put up amazing numbers (record numbers for Thomas). Will someone explain to the morons on HFboards this one fact. You could also explain that Lidstrom had way more points than Chara, enough for that to be a very significant fact that skewed the voting. Weber scored a lot as well, but the guy shoots about 800 times a game, so his goal total isn't as impressive as Nick's.

I still think a full-bodied logo of a Saber-toothed tiger is the way to go.

BTW, Yzerman was robbed for best GM. Tampa's run was more surprising than Vancouver's, and their team ultimately took bigger leaps this season with less assets. The entire show looked like a Vancouver suckfest, so I guess we couldn't expect any less.
-
Was Rinne even nominated for a Hart trophy? He meant more to his team than anyone else. With their offensive roster, they wouldn't have even made the playoffs without Rinne. Perry isn't even the best or most important player on his team.

Pretty sure you picked a quote from a different thread, bud.

Why wasn't this game in NYC?

Line combos are fun to talk about, but are a waste of time, because lines change so much. From now on, I think it's wiser to just compile a list of forwards and defensemen, instead of talking about what lines they'll be on. It won't stay the same anyway.
-
espn is too busy riding Lebron's cock to ever talk about anything else.
-
Any chance we can bring back Lang as well, and form the laziest line in hockey history? Hudler/Lang/Jagr
-
I didn't see Laich in your original post. And your 4th line is a waste of time. Why not put someone like Winchester on that line? Guy has shown a scoring touch before, and is a good grinding forward that will wear defenses out as a series goes on. Of course you do. I didn't see you making any novel ideas in this thread. My lineup actually made some cap sense and is a rather well rounded group that will beat most of these "proposed" lineups in a playoff series. It's got scoring, size, skill, toughness and a good defense that will clear the crease for a change.
-
Hudler and Abby are gone, while Mursak and Kindl will still play significant enough games to get more experience in the NHL. In any case, I think my team would beat your team easily in a 7 game series. Richards will cost too much money. More than Laich.
-
Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Cleary - Laich - Franzen Eaves - Filpulla - Bertuzzi McGrattan - Helm - Winchester Lidstrom - Wisniewski Kronwall - Stuart Smith - Erskine
-
I would say no with that lineup blueadams posted. Too many injury prone players, which is what ultimately screwed us in game 7. Also, Holmstrom and Bertuzzi aren't going to get any better to be playing top 6 minutes. They're both too inconsistent and disappear for long stretches of time. Likewise, Jagr is an unproven commodity here, and Hudler is utterly useless. I don't see a Stanley Cup with that particular lineup, unless everyone magically stays healthy throughout the playoffs and certain players somehow get younger. In essence, you're replacing Rafalski with Wisniewski, and adding a 39 year old forward who hasn't played in the NHL for years.
-
I wonder if he should have a talk with Pronger's wife.
-
I just hope he's not coming back for another 2nd round exit. This team better make whatever moves necessary to be a serious Cup contender next season. I want to see him retire on top.
-
1. Wisniewski 2. Goon 3. Laich 4. Winchester
-
This is terrible news. Ericsson is clearly ready to become the number one D-man on this team (and has for a while), and this Lidstrom guy keeps holding him back every year with these comebacks. It may be time for Big Rig to take his talents elsewhere.

Clutterbuck?

That's all bulls***, and your whole knowledge of lawyers has been shaped by TV and fantasy. Most lawyers coming out of law school nowadays don't make more than $50,000 a year. Actually, most recent grads don't even have jobs. The only ones making 6 figures are those who have great connections and work 60 hours a week. I should know all this, since I'm one myself and haven't made these six-figures you speak of. At this point, Bettman is as much a lawyer as I am a Blade Runner.
