I'm not sure that Lidstrom can give this award the justice that Crosby gave it.

The Wings were hated on fight sites even when they carried Downey and May. Of course, they're going to be hated now when our best fighter is Ericsson of all people. I would like to see some toughness on the 4th line, since we hardly have any irreplaceable 4th liners anyway. I'm sure the fans at the JLA wouldn't mind it either.

Ironically, both guys played together for those underachieving Rangers teams of the last decade. Agree with you on Lindros having a better career than Bure. I'd put them both in the Hall, as I said on the first page. Cam Neely's induction really opened the floodgates for guys with brief, but brilliant careers.

Can we all at least agree that Wade Belak is a good fit here? He can play both forward and defense (can Crosby do that?) and has that North American blonde hair and square jaw that fans at the JLA would root for. Belak = ratings Oh and he can be coaxed out of retirement to take one last run at the Cup (he's never won one)

Because Canucks fans act arrogant even when their team has had no success (which is all but 3 seasons in their history). That's why other teams' fans have been afraid of this moment for a while. I can't understand why Canucks fans are surprised that other fanbases are hostile towards them. I mean I don't get surprised when people hate on the Wings. You have to win championships before you can be arrogant. Otherwise, it just comes off as silly behavior. That's what's always annoyed me about the behavior of Nucks fans. No previous success, but still arrogant.

That's the weakness with having a goalie like Thomas. He's too wild and unpredictable, which occasionally causes him to do stupid things even in the most important moments.
