I disagree. I don't think there's anything improbable about winning 5 OT games. It means they have a knack for scoring big goals and for not allowing the puck in their net when the other team gets chances. It's called being clutch. The Wings, on the other hand, are terrible in OT every year for about the last decade. That's not a coincidence either. San Jose just feels more comfortable in that situation and so they make the big play. Sometimes, there's a thin line between winning and losing and this team is always on the right side of that line against us.

Babcock is giving the same kind of effort his team is at this point. No effort.

That lineup is even worse than the one we have now. You're essentially replacing Stuart with some soft euro like Pitkanen, while promoting Ericsson and Hudler of all people. Also, God knows how slow Bertuzzi and Holmstrom will look next year, when they're one year older.

Let's face it. This team just can't win the Stanley Cup without Kirk Maltby on its roster.

I agree about Howard's bad game. It's time to get a Euro goalie and Canadian players. Not the other way around. (Yes, I know Howard is not Canadian).

Except Yzerman would never be impartial enough to be this team's current GM. He's played with pretty much all these current players and couldn't objectively move people around like GM's have to.

So is this series coming back to San Jose, or do we get swept? That's the only mystery at this moment.

Based on that thinking, we should dress a team full of goons, like that final game in Slapshot. Just put guys out there to punch Pavelski, Thornton, "The Murderer", Boyle and Setoguchi in their faces. I'd be content if we went out like that. I'm sick of this Sharks team.
