We're about to see some fireworks here. Expect things to get chippy.

Those are saves he was making all season. In 8 games and 1 period against us in the playoffs, he hasn't looked like a spectacular goalie at all. Certainly not like some others have done against us.

We should have done this last year at home against Phoenix. Put the foot on their throats here as the series goes on. Things could get chippy now if this game gets carried away. I still want to see someone challenge Doan.

Bryzgalov gave up many softies against us last year in the playoffs, and he's doing it again in this series. Guy is not a good playoff goalie.

Who cares if the hit was clean? Doan is playing very physical again and needs to be put in his place. He's hardly some useless enforcer on their team. That's the kind of guy we need to send a message to.

No, that's absolutely real. They've had that in the NHL for a while, awarded to a guy who has the highest goals to assists ratio. Meaning, a puck hog. Have no idea why they called it the Cy Young award, though.

Only unofficial award I know of is the Cy Young award, for guys who have big disparities between goals over assists.

Why does it matter where it's broadcasted from? If they want to show the Wings because they're a popular team, why can't the game be broadcasted in Phoenix. The Wings will still be on the ice, right? I agree with the OP and think game 2 should be on Friday and game 3 on Sunday, in Phoenix.
