What are the chances we play the Hawks in the first round? Everyone here seems convinced the Hawks will play Vancouver in the first round.

Franzen is creeping up on Robert Lang when it comes to utter laziness. Why can't he play hard every game? Hell, even half the games.

And who on this "tough" Wings team is going to do that? We'll probably bend over for the Hawks again on Sunday. Then we could play them in the playoffs. Six straight games against the Hawks. How fun.

Hudler played that as poorly as possible. Guy had one good month all season, and has been invisible the rest of the time.

I don't see any guys there who are paramount to our success. We'd just have to replace these guys with other 2nd or 3rd line forwards. I'm not talking about signing Ovechkin or anybody like that. Also, you could throw old man river (I mean Holmstrom) on that list.

Howard Filppula Hudler Madonna Bertuzzi Salei Ericsson I want to see all these guys gone after the season. These are the interchangeable players you speak of. Franzen is a lazy bastard, but he's too talented to move, and under contract for a while if I'm not mistaken.

I hate to say this again, but Kenny Holland sat on his ass at the trade deadline, instead of finding hungry players who wanted to win a Cup. These players have won enough not to care anymore, apparently. For most of these guys, that number is 1. How sad.

This Wings team isn't half as good as the 2009 team on paper. Also, we don't have a proven playoff goalie, like we did in 2009. These are just some random stats from seasons past, with different scenarios. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 2002 month of March yet.

Great point. I don't know why they don't go back to the defensive pairings in the past, when we actually played good defense. Just stubborn crap from Babcock and McCrimmon. It's obviously been a disaster this season to have these pairings.

It's not meaningless. We can screw our rivals out of the playoffs. Not to mention, avoid the possibility of having to play them in the first round, if they move up to 6th.
