Not very well, otherwise it would have been fixed already. Yet another period (and probably night) that his team has decided to take off.
-
f*** this s***! I hope we play the Hawks in the first round without Zetterberg and get swept. That seems to be what these lazy idiots really want. To play the Hawks. Well, I hope the Wings get what they're asking for and get hammered for it. This team doesn't seem to give a s***, so I don't know why us fans should. Just more lazy eurotrash hockey that we've seen all year. And if they come back in this game, I won't change my sentiment, because they've already shown that they can't play a full 60 minutes yet again. No level of compete whatsoever from the start of the game.

Anybody but Chicago. Without Zetterberg, we need to play against a lesser skilled team. That's pretty much everyone except the Hawks. I say LA, because they don't have Kopitar and I want to avenge 2001, when they screwed us without Yzerman and Shanahan. It'd be a nice 10 year reunion with that franchise.
-
They made it sound like it, but it seemed like it was worse all along, and he didn't wind up coming back until late in the Finals.
-
Like Datsyuk in the 2009 playoffs and Yzerman in the 2001 playoffs? We've seen this before, that's for sure.
-
I thought he was already retired? Anyway, I've always hated this s***head.
-
If we play Chicago in the first round, we're going to need him. They have too much firepower and we'll have to match it. Not to mention, he's a great defensive forward. Against some of the lesser skilled teams, he'd still be great to have, but not paramount. Those series would come down to goaltending and winning a battle of attrition.

That we're not blind homers?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/648147-detroit-red-wings-50-greatest-players-in-franchise-history/ Saw an article today on bleacherreport and thought I'd get your guys' input. I didn't think the list was bad, but some of the rankings were odd, such as Brett Hull being ranked in the top 30, and Kronwall and Franzen both being on the list, ahead of a guy like Aurie. Oh, I know there have been many such threads on bleacherreport, but I don't remember seeing this particular topic here. Maybe my memory is failing me after a long day of work.

Are the Wings going to keep the Hawks out of the playoffs?
GMRwings1983 replied to cupforwings's topic in General
I don't see it happening. I'd love to see it, however. It'd be a nice feather in our cap, especially since I don't see us going far in the actual playoffs. Not to mention, Dallas has been subpar the second half of the season. Who says they'll win any games? -
It'd be the first time he landed a punch all season.
-
I wonder how many games the Pens have played on TV without Crosby? Pathetic the league hasn't tried to reschedule any of those games, like the NFL does late in seasons.
-
He's played better lately, but I'm not entirely sold on him. I guess you could interchange him with Draper, and see which one plays better. I wouldn't put him any higher than the 4th line, however. Also, I have said in the past that I'd sit Modano, but they may as well see what they paid for in the offseason. I'm not too keen on it, but as I said underneath my first post, there are no "great" line combos for this particular team. Too many lazy players and floaters.
-
You'd be in the huge minority on that list.
-
Why did this post get a +1?
-
I agree. The Canucks would have to exercise some demons to beat the Hawks, after losing to them two years in a row. Not to mention, they've never been in this position before and already have so much pressure from the Vancouver media and obsessed fans. It might be too much for them.
-
I'm a little bummed that Mathieu Dandenault wasn't on the list? Guy carried the blue line for 10+ years around here.
-
Why would Robitaille be on the list? He played for Detroit just 2 seasons, and the second one sucked. On a side note, it seems the guy couldn't think of anymore older Wings to put on the list, so he just threw Kronwall and Franzen on the list out of the blue, as current players he could actually name.
-
What is he saying?
-
Just thought we'd revisit a thread that I started before the season. I hate to brag, but I felt he'd have a comeback season and right now he's gotta be the favorite to win this award. Only real challenger he has is Yandle, who has a better plus/minus, but hasn't really had a better season than Lidstrom. Visnovsky is leading in points if I'm not mistaken, but he's not a Norris caliber player.
-
Maybe Babcock hates players whose last names start with "M".
-
I miss The Grim Reaper.
-
Chicago, Anaheim and Nashville will be really tough matchups. Phoenix or LA could also be tough, but I don't see those series' being as difficult as the ones above.
-
You shouldn't have included that 2007 Anaheim team. That was a really good team.

Any s***ty team full of North American no-talent grinders and a hot goalie who no one ever heard of.
