When has an 8 seed won the Cup?

They weren't bad in that period. They were awful. I can't believe we're going into the playoffs with no goalie, no defense, and a shaky offense that plays hard when it wants to, has lots of injuries, and 6 or 7 floaters in the lineup at all times. In spite of the defense and goaltending, and not because of it.

MacDonald = Howard 19 shots given up in that period, to the ******* Blues. We used to give up that many shots the entire game, back when we had a good team several years ago.

Not bad if you were drunk off Vodka, but I'm pretty sure Backes shouldn't be there. Joe Mullen should be on the team for sure. He was the highest scoring US player for a long time. Eruzione also is a stretch to say the least, but I guess you were just joking there. Oh and Jim Craig was not a better goalie than Mike Richter, John Vanbiesbrouck and Tom Barrasso.

What about Aki Berg and Sami Helenius? They should be on the list. Also, I always thought Kurri is the best Finnish born player ever. Selanne is the only other player that comes to mind for that title. Are there guys in Finland considered better than him all time?

Kovalev absolutely belongs on that list, and higher than Datsyuk. I know the guy is lazy as s***, but that's not what this list is about. Kovalev was a great stickhandler (not as good as Pavel), but his accuracy and shot are a lot better. Great one-timer, great wristshot, great backhand. That's why he's on the list. Also I don't know why people complain about Lemieux being number 1. The guy could do anything with the puck, and also had a great shot, either with his one-timer or the wristshot and backhand. Datsyuk is the best stickhandler I've ever seen, but that's not the only skill to value. You guys need to realize that he's the only current NHL player on the list, aside from Kovalev (who's on the list due to previous play). That speaks for much already.

I'll say it again. He's not used to playing a full season, which accounts for his not being mentally or physically prepared to play all out every night. He's played great in stretches and spurts, but never throughout an 82 game season, because he's been injured so often in the past.

I wasn't really thinking of line combos as much as I was what players to include. No way do I think Datsyuk is the 2nd best Russian center ever. I'm not even sure Fedorov would be the best. Like I said, there's too many centers and not enough wingers. Krutov was good, but the best player from the old Soviet teams I left off the list was Petrov. Actually, I'm dead set on every forward I chose, except for Kovalchuk. I was thinking of possibly putting Mogilny on that list, but changed my mind at the last minute for Kovalchuk. I'm hoping some of the Swedish posters will give us their Swedish rosters, and the same with the Finns. That's a little out of my league.

The refs had their blinders on when Homer and Zetterberg were interfered with. Nevermind, I forgot that you're Steve Moore himself. La di da, la di da, La la.

Rafalski is a detriment to the team so far. He should not be playing tonight. This isn't a playoff game and he's obviously in no condition to do any lateral, sudden movement (otherwise called hockey)

I wouldn't put too much stock in that. It's likely that a lot more people would have negged it. There's no such button anymore, hence it looks like you made a rather popular post. There are some posters who are happy he got injured, and there are others who frankly my dear, don't give a damn. I'm in the latter. I don't know why that upsets you that so many people don't care as much about Howard being injured, as they would be for a Datsyuk or Zetterberg injury. He's not as important to our team, because he hasn't played that well this season. Hence, no one is upset.
