I picked Ryan Miller. He's not old or young, but he's a very good goalie, which is something we need on this team. That's the kind of guy you can build a franchise around.

Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself. Don't understand why Wings fans would hate Avery. He plays in the East and hasn't really done anything in Detroit to be hated so much. I'd love to have a guy like Avery on the team. He's also a much better player than anyone would care to admit.

Excellent point. Howard wouldn't be winning s*** if not for this team. We're not winning because of him, but in spite of him and his meager stats.

Great talent and a right handed shot (which we need), but too big a risk because of his history. Besides, he can't play goalie.

The criticism of Zetterberg's goal scoring is legit. He's 5th in the league in shots taken, but he's scored only 18 goals. It's not like he's stopped shooting the puck and has turned into a pass first player. Problem is he isn't putting the puck in the net like he used to. Don't know if that means he isn't going to the scoring areas, but it's certainly a legit point for people to bring up. It's great that he's still racking up points and getting all these assists, but it's strange to see his goals diminish like this. Oh, and where's my boy Jake Ryan when you need him for this thread?

I guess the good news is that we owned San Hosay last year in the regular season, and look where that got us in the playoffs. The playoffs are just a different animal. However, we need Howard to actually play a good game against the Sharks. He s*** his pants in the playoffs last year and didn't play very well last night.

Don't know why Babcock isn't using him constantly on the powerplay anymore. I guess it might be because he doesn't have chemistry 5 on 5 with those linemates due to playing on the lower lines. Still, there's no point dressing him if he's not going to be on the powerplay.

Well, he's injured frequently, so he loses his spot to others. That's why Hudler is currently slated to be on the top 2 lines even when Flip returns. Gotta have more durability.

I think he also told the Wild players to get their golf clubs ready during one of the games.

Top 2 lines are playing well right now. No reason to break that up until something changes. Bertuzzi > Fillpulla

I think the Flames organization should send each fan a personal apology letter for these horrific uniforms. What are these jerseys even a throwback to? I don't remember them ever wearing this in their history.
