Could the NHL have done a worse job hyping this game? No one who follows American sports (including some hockey fans probably), even knows about this game. And yes I realize it's two Canadian teams, but still.

Backstrom nothing. Cleary didn't get the puck up and the logo hunter shots are hardly Backstrom's doing. Accuracy just hasn't been there.

Johnson is only 22, so there's still no telling how he'll shape up. Not many defensemen play well at age 22. It usually takes them longer to develop than it does forwards. I know Stewart is a good power forward, but I still think they pulled the plug too early on Johnson. If they expected him to be an awesome D-man, at age 22 on a s***ty team, then they were unrealistic with their projections.

Except for his wife, Angelica Bridges. You're right, though. I don't think for that money anyone should claim a guy who hasn't played in the NHL for a while. It'd be a big gamble for anyone on a playoff run and a pointless move for anyone who is rebuilding or trying to dump salary.

Good young defensemen are harder to find than good young forwards. Bad move for the Blues imo.

I remember Datsyuk having a hat trick against Dallas in the playoffs in 2008, so that should technically count as a hat trick. Also, was I mistaken or did they mention Modano as one of those who never had a hat trick? If so, that's really surprising considering how good he was for a long time.
