As much as I'd like to see the Triple-H line, Hudler and Homer will never play on the same line. Too weak defensively. I propose: Cleary - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi Franzen - Flip - Homer Abby - Helm - Eaves Enforcer - Draper - Enforcer

I don't know who is or isn't in his price range. I just know there's 2nd line centers around the NHL putting up better numbers. If that means we have to pay those guys more money, then so be it. Sometimes you have to pay up to get something good in return. There's obviously a reason why Flip isn't getting paid more, namely that he doesn't deserve it. You can compare him salary wise to some 3rd line scrubs around the league who make as much as he does, however, those guys don't play as big a role as he's being asked to play here.

You mean a player who's barely on pace for 40 points? Seems hardly irreplaceable. His price tag isn't high because he's not really all that special.

Franzen?

Every offseason, someone starts a thread about him getting 50 goals. It looked possible a few years ago, but he's definitely not the goal scorer he used to be. 30 goals is too low for someone with that talent playing on the top line of a very skilled team.

Hank is on pace for tons of assists, but that will go down with Pavel out. However, for a guy that shoots so often, his aim is just not very good this year. I don't think he's even on pace for 30 goals. No one would have thought that years ago.

Obviously, you don't frequent enough fight sites. Lucic is one of the most disliked players out there. Proves what you know.

Look how many non-fighters are on that card. A real enforcer hardly has any non-fighters on his card. Lucic is a top notch spotpicker. Why do you think so many fight fans on hockey-fights, or dropyourgloves hate the guy? It's not just me.

As others have said, we're giving up way too many goals lately. Starting to look like the 85-86 Wings defensively.

Other than Datsyuk and Cleary, I haven't seen one Wings forward bring it consistently all year. That's an indictment of everyone else's play. Obviously, it starts at the top with Zetterberg, who seems to play great one night, and then not show up for the next few games offensively. He should have more than 12 goals on the season, especially with how many shots he takes. Flip has been inconsistent his whole career here. He's a guy that can be a good 2nd line forward on some nights, and look useless on other nights. Trading him depends on what the return offer is.

Bad excuse. Teams have owned us several times this year when they were playing back to back. Not to mention, we'll have lots of back to back games coming up. I hope Babcock isn't preaching the same stuff you are to the team, otherwise there's already plenty of built in excuses. The team lost because their point coverage stunk and they gave up too many odd man rushes on the PP instead of having chances of their own.

Recklessly? Who cares at that point if something bad results? We're down by a goal. We've had enough late goals over the last few years to prove that it's possible. It's like throwing the ball out of bounds on 4th down. May as well take a chance with 10 seconds left.

Nothing is awesome about Lucic. Unless he has a piano fall on his head from the sky. Guy is a wannabee enforcer who usually fights guys he knows he'll beat. Here he suckerpunched Meyer of all people. I would love to see someone end his career in some way.

Whole team needs shooting lessons. I guess Zetteberg figures his 2 goals last night excuse him from playing dominant tonight and probably for the next few games. Too many players just didn't show up.
