If Ozzie posted in this thread and admitted that we need a goalie, people would still not agree with the major premise. He really needs to get his s*** together.

I think after the 2008 playoffs, a lot of people were expecting him to be a future number 1 defenseman that could contend for the Norris trophy. His play has not really improved over these last few years, and this year it seems to have declined. I don't think benching him would help any, since we're already short on defensemen. If everyone is healthy and he still plays poorly, then maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I was the same way. People overreacted because we signed a Hall of Fame player, but those who are realistic, realized that Modano on the 3rd line was not likely to work.

They have a lot of good offensive players. Better than the names on Atlanta's roster for instance. Just too much underachieving going on with that roster right now.

I miss her even more. Anyway, the whole thing is a freak accident, but I didn't see anything horribly dirty about the hit. Just bad luck that's all.
