What is Eminem doing on that wall with Joe Louis, Gordie Howe, and Aretha Franklin? Is the city seriously that proud of this clown? Oh come on. I thought you were going to tell us a great story about attending Bucks games in the 70's and watching Kareem do the sky hook.

Is anything safe anymore? Our beloved tradition *Mod warning post #94*

It's called peyote. I didn't like this logo, but I did like the purple and green colors. Thought that was unique. Then they went to red and white jerseys, like half the teams in the league. Then there was that third jersey that looked like the Greyhound bus logo. -
It's been scientifically proven that hockey fights are correlated with more females attending hockey games. More females at anything means more alcohol sales. More alcohol sales means more revenue for the team. Not sure what's hard to understand about this concept.

Oh come on. That's kind of harsh. This team would beat the 1975 Capitals in 6 games.

How would Roman Reigns look in a Wings jersey? -
North or South?

This happened today. I guess the Summit Series will be celebrated throughout the year in Russia and Canada. http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/1972+Summit+Series+replayed+Moscow/6209957/story.html

Or when Kocur is watching with a closed fist.

LOL. Ummmm.....ok.

Have you asked a girl out before while your relatives were watching? Not an easy thing to do.

Do the Pistons have a different locker room than the Wings? I assume so, since the Wings' locker room has pictures of the Wings legends all over it, plus the giant logo on the ceiling.

That's like saying that 1/3 of the world's population is either from China or India. Or that the world's most popular beer is some beer from China. The statements are true, but still..................it's cricket.

And then that same person promptly prepared your next meal.

China has one billion people, but just like India, they suck at team sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and hockey. (India sucks at any sport, I think).

What's Ville Leino up to these days? Just looked it up, he's playing for a team called the Lakers.

Who cares? The building will soon become known as Auston Matthews Arena.

Mother of mercy, is this the end for Kenny? Bucks should come to KC. I sometimes forget Milwaukee even has a team.

What Is Your #Hype Level Re: the Red Wings' 2017-18 Season?

About as excited as I get when Roman Reigns or John Cena come out. -
Detroit's cap hit on both goalie and defense is top 3 in the league
GMRwings1983 replied to Wingnut1989's topic in General
A team with suspect goaltending and talentless jobbers on defense has one of the highest cap hits in the league. Does Kenny Holland need to embezzle money from the Ilitch family and set their house on fire before his ass is canned? -
Yes, but three years is a little far. Predicting the upcoming season based on an educated guess is a different matter.
-
I understand the ground rules, but it's silly to project a roster that far into the future, pretending there won't be any trades or FA signings.
-
I did. Pretty sure that Kronwall's hit on Havlat happened in Chicago.
-
Luszczyszyn is one hell of a name to spell. Even around hockey circles that's a bit too much. The roster is a failure on all fronts. Not many "CORE" players as the article puts it, too many overpaid players, 10 players with no-trade clauses. If Kenny was trying to sabotage this organization he couldn't be doing a better job the last few seasons.

Will The Red Wings make the playoffs in '17-'18? (Poll Question)
GMRwings1983 replied to kylee's topic in General
No. The defense is still one of the weakest in the league and there's too many question marks about the forwards and goalies. They need a spectacular season from their goalies and one of the young forwards has to take the next step and become an All Star caliber player. I just don't see the latter happening, and the goalies will struggle with this slow, untalented defensive corps in front of them. If we had a prime Dominik Hasek, we'd still struggle to make the playoffs. -

Some of the best individual seasons in NHL history came on bad teams.
