Salei is more durable and better than Lilja. The guy is in the penalty box like every game. So far he's done nothing out there, which is what I honestly expected. I hope he proves me wrong and actually does something out there.

I wonder if there's a correlation between being in lots of shootouts, and winning them? To me it seems like the teams who are in the most shootouts are always the best at it. BTW, I'm developing a mini-crush on that girl in the ad to the right of the page. (The one with the blue exercise ball).

Actuall, we're averaging a fight per game this season. When Ericsson and Abby come back, we'll hopefully have a few more. Janik will do the fighting now, even though he's not great at it. BTW, me and Mindfly want to welcome you to the club. You'll be a valuable addition to our group with your argumentative skills and relentless energy.

He looks good on that line, but I wouldn't say he's revitalized. In his prime, he'd be destroying people out there with crushing bodychecks, and scaring the hell out of opposition with his dominance in front of the net. He's fit in nicely in Detroit, but is a different, more tentative player than he was before. He's reinvented himself, not revitalized.

This is the best thread of the season so far. I can't wait for the Dallas game now. We had so many controversial games against them last year.

Shootouts basically have nothing to do with skilled players. That's why certain teams succeed in shootouts despite not having as much talent, while a team like the Wings, with a bunch of fancy stickhandlers, sucks at it. And yeah, the moves are all the same. Datsyuk went for his patented move, Hudler went for his, and Bertuzzi did that thing where he basically skates to the boards, and then decides to move on goal at turtleneck speed. Also, Zetterberg did his patented "nothing happens" move. Goalies around the league scout these kinds of things.

If I'm not mistaken, we only had one powerplay in this game. Colorado got away with a crosscheck and a high stick late in the 3rd period. No way they played so clean that only 1 penalty was deserved on them.
