I want a well rounded team. Our team has a good top 6, but lacks some physicality on the lower two lines, and doesn't have an enforcer. I say we can still sign an enforcer and a grinding 3rd liner to boot. It's not like it has to be one or the other, especially since we're not talking about signing a highly paid star.

And I want a woman who looks like Brigitte Bardot circa 1963, and doesn't ask any questions. Stop being unrealistic. Holland signed two enforcers recently who didn't play 10 minutes a night. Obviously, his plans are different than yours.

I agree with the OP. A few years ago diving was called frequently, but now it's become ignored and even rewarded, which is bad for hockey.

Howard got robbed. Myers didn't carry his team into the playoffs. Miller did that for him.

Sakic never scored 60 goals and 150 points in a a season. He was never the offensive powerhouse Yzerman was in his prime. The injuries made Stevie a worse player towards the end of his career than what Sakic was, but as far as all time ranking, I have Yzerman ranked higher.

I'm surprised actually. Great defensemen are playing well into their late 30's and early 40's nowadays. He can still be a factor in the league.

Nah, he needs to finish his career as a Star. There's nothing for him to prove at this point, and his game has dropped off. He's not good enough to crack our top 6, and not enough of a grinder to play anywhere else.

He's a more useful player than Maltby at this point, so I'm all for it.

What are the chances that these lines stay the same throughout the entire season, and never change? Line combo threads are fun from game to game, but a whole season line thread is absurd to even plan for or talk about. These lines will probably change after a few games into the season.
