Wow, Boucher didn't even flinch on that. So much for coming in and sparking the team. He's been as bad as Leighton.
-
Hopefully, but unlikely.

I wonder if Mike Richards has been hanging out with Gina Lynn any time lately? Guy has been useless the entire series, minus that soft goal in the last game. Wow, I didn't know Mike Richards actually read these forums during the intermission. How exciting.

That top line for Philly has been nonexistent the whole series, because Keith and Seabrook have shut them down. Meanwhile the 2nd line for Philly, with Leino, has been awesome because Chicago has no depth defensively. Sopel and Campbell have always sucked in their own zone. But those top stars for Philly are the reason they're probably going to lose the series.
-
If they have any respect for their roots, then they should.
-
If only Max Talbot played for the Flyers.
-
Come on Philly, goon it up here. It'll give me at least one reason to watch this lost game.
-
Boy this is starting to look like last year's Finals. We destroyed the Pens in game 5. Let's hope the series ends up that way too.

He didn't get murdered by Clowe, and Clowe is a great fighter who can beat heavyweights.
-
I'd love to have a guy like that here. He's shown scoring touch in the past, and I can't remember the last time we had a 6'5 forward. He can punish a lot of defenders with his body. And of course, he's a pretty good fighter. But of course, there's some dumb asses on LGW who don't want that because they're smarter than Holland, who wants a gritty forward.

For national coverage, I'd take Gary Thorne over anyone else. I miss hearing him and Clement doing games. And no, I've never believed in all that supposed Avalanche bias. The guys I can't stand are the homers. Boston, Colorado, Columbus, San Jose, St. Louis. They all have ridiculous homers doing their commentary. Jack Edwards in Boston is the worst of the worst.

I'd take anyone that the OP mentioned. I'm very open minded when it comes to signing tougher players. Too bad Bob Rouse isn't on that list anymore. BTW, somebody must really hate this thread for some reason.
-
He had a great shot from the point, but wasn't physical at all for his size. He's like 6'5 and only weighs about 210 pounds. Remind you of a certain current Wings d-man?

Bertuzzi states he will either stay with wings or retire

I get negged for hating the Blackhawks. Seriously, though, for that price Bertuzzi would be awesome to have back in Detroit. I hope he and Franzen can continue to play together and develop some kind of chemistry. -
Maybe Leino is a Claude Lemieux type of player. He plays much harder and better in the playoffs. Meaning that had we kept him, we'd still be playing in the playoffs.

At this point, I think Briere is the front runner for the Conn Smythe if Philly wins.

Has the free agent period even started?

Which defunct team would you like to see make a comeback?

I forgot about the Montreal Maroons. What a great name that is. I'm sure it would still fly well today. -
I guess it wasn't a one goal game, though. Bummer.
-
Hawks lose!!!! Let's hope the Flyers can come home in game 6 with a chance to win the Cup. Olczyk is doing a great job holding back tears.
-
Leino needs to ice this s*** right here.
-
Philly starting to choke a little. Looks like another 1 goal game.
-
Cleary was considered a lazy bum until he came to Detroit. There's probably plenty of Edmonton/Chicago/Phoenix fans who felt the same way in the 2007-2009 playoffs watching Cleary on TV, as we feel now about Leino. Why didn't he play that way for us?
-
He's playing tougher on a tougher team. Pretty natural. Funny how we traded him for Tollefsen, a guy who's not even in the Wings future. Basically, we let Leino go for nothing. Still, there's no telling that he would ever have panned out in Detroit. Leino has 16 points, and he missed the first 4 games of the playoffs. He must have trained in a hyperbolic time chamber after the Wings traded him.
