Yeah, that's also another reason. I just don't like how Ovechkin was thrown under the bus, and everyone seemed to say convincingly that Crosby was better than him.
-
Crosby didn't exactly adapt either, as his numbers show. Ovechkin adapted well enough to put up good numbers in the series. I think the fact that Ovechkin is a foreign born superstar had something to do with it also. The hockey media seems afraid to say anything bad about Crosby. I hope that changes eventually.
-
How did Ovechkin underperform? He scored 10 points. He was trying to do too much because his wannabee supersatar teammates (Green, Semen) didn't get the job done. He was unfairly blamed for a loss where he played rather well. Crosby, on the other hand did nothing in this series other than dive. Look at how well Gionta and Cammaleri played.
-
Ovechkin scored twice as many points in that series than Ovechkin in this one, buddy. Crosby choked.

Montreal better root for Boston. Philly will just bully and intimidate Montreal with their size, much like they did two years ago.

Hey, where's that Pens fan who came here a few days ago to tell us how embarrassing it was for us to lose to San Jose?
-
I'm glad that the only Cup celebration this stupid arena saw was the Wings skating the Cup in 2008.
-
How do you say, the Pens are a bunch of f****ing divers in French? And also, how do you say Tyler Kennedy looks like ManBearPig?
-
Wow, I'm surprised someone else here besides you sees him scoring 70 points. Everytime we have a thread like this on LGW, something bad happens. Last year we had a "Will Franzen get 50 Goals" thread, and we've had a Zetterberg thread that was the same and of course that "Will Datsyuk Get 100 points" thread. If those guys couldn't reach their fantasized projections, I can't see Hudler doing it. He's never hit 70 points, and now we may not have Lidstrom back next year and Hank and Pavel barely hit 70 this year. I just don't see it. If he hits 50 points, I say that's a pleasant surprise and a success.

I'd honestly be surprised if Montreal won this game. They can't get the puck in Pittsburgh's zone at all and their defense looks like crap now. On top of that, these Pens sissies are trying to dive their way into the next round, after realizing that all other avenues are closed to them. What's even worse is that the refs are letting them.
-
Bulls*** call. This league can eat my you know what.
-
ManBearPig acting real tough again. *****. No hablo.
-
Halak looks like Roberto Luongo out there. Don't tell me Brent "freaking" Johnson is going to be a part of history somehow.
-
Why is Montreal teasing us like this? Their defense has been great all series, and now all of a sudden they're having a mini-collapse. These fans don't deserve even a minute of happiness.
-
Another Pen diving to get a PP.
-
Refs helping the Pens again.
-
Damn. That little punk Kunitz scored. Pens fans celebrating as if they've tied the game. Idiots.
-
If only he scored 10 points in this series like Ovechkin did against Montreal.
-
The best part about this whole thing is the look on the faces of all these idiot fans at the Mellon arena. This may be the best thing that God has done this year. The "Flower" has been deflowered.
-
Sergei Gonchar proving why he's the worst defensive defenseman in hockey. Overrated idiot looked like Lebron on that play. OMG, a Brent Johnson sighting. How ******* awesome!
-
Phantom penalty to help the Pens get back in the game. Big freaking surprise. I hope Bettman commits suicide tonight. Like the warden at the end of "The Shawshank Redemption"
-
I wonder how many PP's the Pens will get from now on?
-
I doubt the Devils would let Clarkson go. He's a guy that can fight and score occasionally.
-
I'd take any of those players. Asham would top that list for me, and then we should also add a legitimate heavy on top of that. That would make us a tougher team to play against. Top 6 will probably stay unchanged, since there isn't much out there that we can pursue, thus the bottom 6 forwards are all Holland can look for.
-
We hardly got 70 points from our top 2 players this year. Babcock is reaching too far here. At least he didn't say he expected 10 fighting majors out of him this season also. Eva, why did you have to give me a minus for dogging on your boy? Anyone who expects Hudler to score 70 points has never seen him in a Red Wings uniform. Last time he was here, he was disappearing in the playoffs after Mike Brown laid him out.
