Montreal only did it because Halak stole three straight games and Washington's powerplay couldn't score for s***. Do you think Howard can steal three straight from the Sharks while getting outshot 45-15 and to have our PK own the Sharks PP? I doubt it and hope we don't have to find out. That's a good enough explanation for why we can't go down 3-1. Going down 3-1 would likely be the end of the series.

I think the league got embarrassed after last year's game 3 of the SCF, where the Pens had too many men on the ice for 45 seconds and nothing was called.

Because Zetterberg is getting owned on faceoffs. We've already given up 2 or 3 goals in this series directly off faceoffs.

They are divers, but that's the NHL's fault for not enforcing diving like it used to in the past. If the Sharks win this series, I'd rather see them win the Stanley Cup than the other 6 teams left in these playoffs.

The problem with being down 2-0 is that there's no room for error. We played like s*** against Phoenix in game 4 at home, but that wound up not mattering because we'd already stolen home ice. Now we absolutely, unequivocally need to win both games at home. We haven't been in this position in a long time. I just wish this team would play the way it did towards the end of the regular season when we had that great run. Right now we're 4-5 in the playoffs, which is how we played all year before the injured players returned. We've just been subpar and inconsistent in this postseason.

I'm off for the night. When Mindfly wakes up tomorrow in Sweden and views the replay, that country is bound to implode.

If we had Crosby on our team, this would never happen to us. Can you imagine the Pens getting all those penalties against them in the 3rd?

I for one thought the officiating was even. Of course, I spent the entire 3rd period in the bathroom, so I didn't see what happened.

We need to play better officiating or not. Howard can't give up 4 goals again and our faceoffs need to be better. Also, our PK has to be better. Also, Zetterberg has to start scoring in this series and so does Flip. One good series is not enough. It isn't over, but we have a lot to work on regardless of the officiating.

If Brad May played in this game, the ref would have been too scared to call all those penalties. Told you Babcock.

Stats are overrated. As long as fighting is allowed in hockey, I don't see anything wrong with giving out such an award. Fastest skater is more of a skill set. I was talking about best fighter of the year award. How do you judge a fastest skater of the year award?
