Didn't Robert Blake get accused of killing his wife?
-
Stall was nominated because he hasn't won any individual awards yet, while Malkin and Crosby have.
-
So if it was so close, then there may be a good chance that we'll see this implemented real soon. I figured only a few guys would vote for it, and would get laughed out of the room. I guess not.
-
I'm shocked that the vote was even close. Who are those morons?
-
Yeah, for people who live in Canada or around Detroit. About half the fans on this board are neither.
-
This might be a stupid question, but what exactly is Yzerman's current position with the team? Is he just being groomed for something and has no say in decision making matters?
-
I hope the internet streams work better than they did in game 2. None of this game is televised if I'm not mistaken.

If Sammy scored 30 goals here last year, then Holland wouldn't have let him go. He never played as well for us as he has for Vancouver. And don't tell me that he never got a chance. He constantly played on the top 2 lines and on the PP, with great players around him to boot. I can't blame Holland for this one. Sammy is playing the best hockey of his career right now, but no one exactly saw this coming last year.
-
Aren't the amount of shorthanded goals taken strongly into consideration? I don't remember Pavel having many of those, but I'm not sure how many the other guys had.
-
That's what he deserves for trying to run all our players. Idiot wound up running himself into the boards as he was trying to hit Howard. Let's hope his shoulder is fine in time for golfing season.
-
I picked both Boston and Philly to win their series, so I'm not surprised that Jersey and Buffalo are losing right now. These were just bad matchups for both teams.
-
I haven't read anything here all day about Shane Doan's injury status for the rest of the series. So are the Coyotes keeping this under wraps? I'm assuming they are but I wasn't sure. I couldn't find anything on the top headlines at NHL.com either. I guess we'll have to wait until game time to find out. I wouldn't be surprised if he separated his shoulder the way he went into the boards.

Miller, Brodeur, Bryzgalov named nominees for Vezina trophy
GMRwings1983 replied to a topic in General
Can't two men deserve the same nickname? Besides, Sean Avery beat me to the Brodeur nickname. I just started riding that and so have several other people. It's fun and you should try it. -
Damn! I was hoping it was something more serious. If they're deciding about him playing tomorrow, then he'll definitely finish the rest of the series. Or maybe they're just leading everyone on. We've seen that before with the Wings when it comes to injuries.

Miller, Brodeur, Bryzgalov named nominees for Vezina trophy
GMRwings1983 replied to a topic in General
He won the Vezina in 2008 based purely on reputation. So I wouldn't be surprised if they give it to him again. He's had a great career, but the way the media sucks him off all the time gets annoying. -
You don't have a sense of humor apparently.
-
Yeah, the guy just didn't get the joke, so he starts acting tough for no reason. He'll learn how the humor works around here eventually.
-
Kind of hard to blame Ericsson when Lidstrom is getting burned by Prucha of all people. The defense doesn't just suck at pinches. They suck right now at moving pucks quickly and being beaten to puck after puck. Their body positioning is poor as well.
-
You'll learn quickly around here newbie.
-
I want to see us sign more soft Euros like Vrbata, Nokelainnen and Prucha, who will play hard in the playoffs and win battles along the boards. These North Americans like Bertuzzi, Eaves, Abby and Miller just aren't cutting it right now.

Miller, Brodeur, Bryzgalov named nominees for Vezina trophy
GMRwings1983 replied to a topic in General
Anyone but Fatso should win it. He had the best team in front of him by a mile compared to Miller and Bryzgalov. Those guys carried their team to the playoffs. Brodeur will carry his team out of the playoffs. -
I guess we sort of came close to that in 2007, when we had that tough first round series against Calgary, after losing the prior year as a number 1 seed to Edmonton. The first round has been the toughest round for the Red Wings this past decade. It's great that we have won Cups, but we're not beyond choking in the first round ourselves. BTW, here's what one poster wrote on hfboards. "Wikipedia on top of it: Early in 2010, Boyle was diagnosed with hockeyus dyslexius (latin for "hockey dyslexia"). This is a rare disease that is found only among NHL players. The disease causes sudden bouts of confusion in its victims, causing them to randomly shoot the puck into their own net. The disease didn't manifest itself until April 19, 2010, when, in game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Colorado Avalanche, Boyle shot the puck into his own net, costing the Sharks the game, and likely leading them to another first round disappointment."

I think one thing has been determined over the years. God is not a San Jose Sharks fan.
-
I think it's letsgosharks.com Pretty original site name huh?

Wow, going back to the 80's there. For anyone who's interested, the Sharks forums right now are a MUST read. Like reading a Shakespeare tragedy.
