He has played better this season than anyone expected, but many of us are frustrated that he doesn't use his body more often and goes for stretches where he seems to be floating out there. The key with him is consistency and being a physical presence. He doesn't always give us those things, and we ask for them because he's bigger than any other forward that we have. I know his skill set has dropped off, but I remember in Vancouver he was known for crushing the opposition with Lindros-like forechechecking. I can't remember him crushing anyone this season with a hit. People always bring up the Moore incident, but I don't see what that has to do with him not being as physical anymore. There's certainly a fine line between playing physical and doing what he did to Moore. I'm glad that he's scoring, but he's got the size that none of our other forwards have, and I want to see him uze it, because that would make us a harder team to play against.

But just for one year it seems like a waste of time. I mean he didn't exactly make Lebron James money over there.

Makes you wonder why he left in the first place. Whole thing seemed like a waste of time. Maybe he got to bang some hot Russian chicks down there and that was the payoff. Who knows?

I have no clue, but if I was visiting any of those places, the last thing I'd want to be doing is watching TV. Barcelona? Southern France? For someone who lives in the hick Midwest, those places sound like heaven to me. I don't know if we have any posters here from southern Europe, though, as far as you finding out how to watch games down there. We have Scandinavian posters who might help you, but hockey is more popular up there than in the places you're going.

I've always thought of Nilan as a hugger who usually got beat up when he fought other top heavies. He was a good fighter, but doesn't deserve top 10 status. I was surprised that more people didn't list Dave Brown. I figured everyone has heard of him.

No. When did I say otherwise? Wow, some idiots actually lowered my rep for saying the truth. I never said I like Ducks fans. What fans? Only one I know is DuckGuy and he's alright, but the rest of their fans I could care less about.

I know each series has only gone a few games so far, but I can't remember the last time I saw so many goals scored in the playoffs. We've already seen several 6-5, 5-4 games, and of course we had that wild game in Phoenix last night. This is the era of hot goaltending and low scoring playoff games, but I'm glad that so far the young and inexperienced goalies have been terrible. This makes hockey more fun to watch. It's kind of like a throwback to 80's hockey right now. Much was made about how many young goalies were starting these playoffs, and so far these young goalies aren't handling the pressure very well. Here's to hoping that the high scoring and lousy goaltending keeps up. This is good for hockey!

I think it was most annoying fans in sports. I posted the article here about 6 months ago. The Cubs finished number 1, but the Nucks were there alright.

I hate Bieksa, so I'm glad he screwed it up for his team. Those Vancouver fans just deserve to lose. Maybe the most retarded fans in sports.

But these games so far have been good games. The goalies have just been worse than what we're accustomed to, and the scoring has been up as a result. I don't think teams are playing that much worse defensively or at some all-star mockery level. The games have been good because a 1 or 2 goal lead isn't what it used to be in the past and because goalies are beatable now, instead of standing on their heads all the time. Like I said, it's 80's type hockey.

If Sammy scores the GWG again, I'm going to be very unhappy.

If I have the option of watching a good low scoring game or a good high scoring game, guess which one I'll choose every time? And I'm guessing most would agree with me there.

On top of that, guys like Theodore, Varlamov, Nabokov, etc. have played in the playoffs before, but are very suspect with their play and were question marks going into these playoffs.

That's what the Devils thought a few years ago. Believe it or not, there are people out there who'd rather see low scoring, defensive minded games, and they're not just goalies. I've never been able to understand them.

Yes, but 6-5 games are more entertaining than all the 2-1 playoff games we were seeing a few years ago. Now it seems like having a lead is almost meaningless. No one seems to know how to play with a lead, other than Nashville. Like I said, it's early yet, but I can't ever remember the playoffs being so entertaining and wide open even for a few games. It's awesome right now.

Wow, I guess no one else likes the high scoring games and lackluster goaltending so far. Apparently the "8,000 posts for a game 3 win" thread is more intellectual.

I can't wait till the Wings move to the East. Then we can play teams in the playoffs who have actual knowledgeable hockey fans.

If Washington loses the series, which they damn well might have if they lost this game, that would leave the East all to the Pens for the taking. I think Jersey will lose to the Flyers, so Washington is Pittsburgh's biggest barrier to the Finals right now. And yes, I think the Pens will beat the Sens in their series.

The goaltending has been god-awful so far in the playoffs. These young goalies are sucking ass.

I hope Jovanovski pisses Bertuzzi off enough to make him play angry again.
