Have the Phoenix Coyotes ever have played on NBC in their history?

I guess it is a big loss, but I forgot that this team was in the playoffs. Unlike the West, I can't envision those 5-8 teams in the East making any big waves. Ottawa wasn't going anywhere anyways.

I remember thinking the Wings would try it back in 2008, when Ozzie had a better regular season than Hasek, but Hasek went in as the starter. I think it's a weird move, because it doesn't have much support by historical success. Teams that have tried it failed.

I can watch every game on the internet and have pretty much all year. My initial complaint about not playing Chicago is that now I doubt every game will be on Versus. Kind of like last year against Columbus, where basically the whole series went untelevised. So either way I'll watch the games, but I'd prefer to watch them on Versus, and don't want to waste money on Center Ice. s***, the NBA televises every playoff game, so I don't think it's too much to ask to expect that from the NHL.

Waste of cash in my opinion. Other people will disagree, but that's what I think.

It's been different year to year. Also, many posters here don't live in Detroit and don't have FSD.

If we played the Hawks, I bet all the games would be nationally televised on Versus and NBC. Playing against some team like Phoenix or Vancouver lessens those chances. Also, these West coast games mean everyone will have to stay up later, especially if we have long OT's. A series against the Hawks would have been more convenient in terms of travel, TV exposure, and the time of the games. But you're in Sweden, so you might not know all our time zones and stuff.

There go our chances of watching the whole series on Versus. Internet streams are gonna fill up now.

Yes, especially since it happens pretty much every year, like you said. The fact that teams play more divisional games than games against other teams in the conference only bolsts that further.

I envy Mindfly when he gets this kind of attention. He knows how to work the crowd better than anybody. You guys are all getting your panties in a bunch over everything that he says. Amazing. In any case, I wonder if Babcock will play Ozzie on Sunday to rest Howard for next week?

Mindfly is right. Wings haven't played well since the Pens game. These last two games have been decent, but we should be better against this team.

If I'm not mistaken, he's never won an individual award. Can't even remember him being nominated for any.

So much for the "new NHL" increasing scoring. Only a handful of guys hitting 50 goals and no one coming close to 60.

I don't want to make comparisons to Gretzky, but I always think of Gretzky as a pass first guy, yet he scored almost 900 goals in his career. Crosby is not the best goalscorer in the league, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him keep winning this award like Gretzky did, just because he has such great offensive instincts.

Hopefully Babcock realizes how overrated that whole idea is.

If we play Phoenix, Robert Lang will murder us. If we play Vancouver, Sammy will murder us. If we play Chicago, Hossa and Kopecky will murder us. Guess that leaves San Jose.

He has a great backhanded move in shootouts, though.
