The league needs the Oilers to come out of the West. Who knows when the NHL will be able to showcase McDavid again with him being stuck in the West in a small Canadian market. This isn't the 1980's when Edmonton could play in the Finals every year. -

Even if they win the series, the Caps have already shown me that the Pens will be the favorite against them again. Many Cup winners have first round scares, but the Caps are fragile enough where I think it's more than just a first round scare. -
Yzerman was a much better offensive player in his prime. How many times has Tayes even finished top 10 in scoring? Tayes right now is the player Yzerman was in his mid 30's. More focused on two-way play and not putting up the big numbers.

They should have put a clause in his contract about finishing top 10 in scoring every year.

He was terrible in both playoff series against the Wings. I remember him giving up at least one soft goal in every game during that 2010 series. Guy was not a good playoff goalie. I guess Khabibulin breaks the mold, as he won the Cup in 2004, but the other Russian goalies I can think of have really struggled in the postseason. -

Varlamov too. I remember him falling apart in big moments. Bryzgalov as well was a train wreck. If not for him, we wouldn't have beaten Phoenix in 2010 and 2011. -

I would bench Holtby the rest of the series. This guy needs the 1984 Oilers in front of him to win in the playoffs. Not a reliable playoff goalie right now. -

If ownership has to choose between Bylsma and Eichel, I'm sure they'll choose Eichel, but he still sounds like a whiny ***** with this story. Not like Bylsma is to blame for Buffalo stinking it up for the last 10 years. Oh and they finished with a better record than the Wings did. Their season looks successful to me when you're at the bottom of the totem pole.

I guess scoring 5 goals is about the only way Columbus can win with Bobrovsky in net. They have no chance of extending this series unless he plays even average hockey, let alone like a Vezina winner. -

The Reebok crap 10 years ago was the worst thing to happen to NHL jerseys. It added unnecessary stripes everywhere, especially in the armpit region. Jerseys are ugly now. -

You really think Washington would beat the Pens? Especially with Holtby looking like Bobrovsky's twin brother. Neither of these guys is reliable in the playoffs. -
