I think you missed the spirit of the thread. I was talking about transactions you liked which turned out as failures. If the thread was just about transactions you hated from the beginning, every post would be half a page long. -

I was referring to his 2002 stint with the Wings. I think he left for a few years before he came back in 2002. Even the 1998 signing wouldn't have been that much of a splash. Krupp is German for crap. -

You mean you were actually excited about us signing Uwe Krupp? Before that season, we had signed Hasek, Hull and Robitaille, so Krupp was hardly on anyone's mind as a big help. -

Yeah, but the Stars couldn't call themselves the North Stars since they wouldn't be up north in Minnesota. Thus, they'd have changed their uniforms anyway when moving the Phoenix. As for the Dallas Jets, I guess they could have kept the old Winnipeg logo and jersey (which no one mentioned as a favorite!), but chances are they'd have changed the design and colors also. -
Mirasty is known for having a hard head, but he's gotten his ass dropped too many times for that reputation. I don't think any fighter has ever been dominated by another the way Bosse has owned Mirasty with those 3 KO's. Cochrane vs. Marini is the only other that comes close, and those were all TKO's. I've always wondered how Bosse would have done against NHL enforcers, but I guess now he's doing MMA, so we'll never know.

I know we're playing well lately and Edmonton is playing like crap, but I just have a really bad feeling about this game. Something about it just feels wrong. Almost like a game we could look back on later and regret. I hope I'm wrong and we come out and blow them out in the first period.

Come to think of it, their so-called fans don't deserve it. Remember how those bandwagoners came out of the woodworks when the Cardinals made the Superbowl, even though their fan base never gave a s*** about the Cardinals before? Now all of a sudden the same will probably happen again if this team makes a playoff run.

How about taking runs at Crosby or having someone else fight Cooke again? The guy takes your best player out for the season and that's how you retaliate at him? The fans were booing for a reason. Their team showed no guts after that first fight. They might as well have asked Cooke for autographs after that.

Bruins are a bunch of *******. I hope Wensink, Jonathan and O'Reilly weren't watching this game. First Thornton fights Cooke and throws some weak punches after the refs get in there, and then the idiot jawes at Cooke a little. That was their retribution. WOW, you really sent them a message Boston.

Yeah, I saw highlights of the game. The jerseys looked awesome. I was waiting for Troy Crowder to come off the bench there. The jersey devil is probably green anyway, so why not wear the color? -

"Hudler slappies" I don't see him coming back next year, but that's just me. If he comes back, Babcock will likely put him on the 4th line again. It's a no win situation.

We've had troubles against both the Oilers and the Blues lately. This Wings team has been guilty all year of taking games off, so I'm not sure which games we should have no trouble winning. Yeah, we're a better team on paper than those others, but based on that, we won't lose any more than 1 or 2 games the rest of the year. That's not the way it works, though. Games aren't decided on paper.
