And 3 points out of 9th. Last week, after losing to Calgary people here were saying it's over, and now after beating Calgary, we're looking at the number 5 seed. Very comical.
-
I don't know if it'd solve anything. In 2006 I would have picked Edmonton and in 2003 I would have picked Anaheim. Don't know offhand who I'd have picked in the other years, but I remember in those years that's who I wanted us to play.
-
Are you kidding? We still have to battle to get into the playoffs at all, and you're already talking about hoping that we'll finish 5th. We're like at least ten points behind 5th if not fifteen points behind. As I said earlier, we're finishing anywhere from 7-9, and I'll take anything but 9.

It's a no brainer that they'd rather play Calgary and Nashville. Not really fear, just common sense from their standpoint. I didn't want us to face the Ducks last year in the first round either, as San Jose found out first hand.

That was from that George Clooney episode wasn't it?
-
I'll take anything other than 9th. I have a feeling that any of the top three teams would be a tough matchup, especially since we'd have to face them consecutively if we're to advance. There won't be any cakewalks like last year against Columbus or two years ago against Colorado.

Fillpulla and Zetterberg are holding him back on that line with their brooding play. Has that line even scored a goal since it was put together?
-
Yeah, ninety-sux has been very good. One of the few guys that's actually exceeded expectations for the season.

Either last night or a few games ago, Mickey Redmond said something about the Wings likely being tired because of all the playoff games they've played the last few years, and how they've played more games than anyone else. That got me thinking. In the mid 90's, this team was making long playoff runs every year, yet I don't remember them being too tired to win games consistently the following year? Also, this team can't be any older than those teams we had in the 90's. Those teams had lots of veterans on them. So does anyone else not buy this argument about the team being too tired? There are many reasons for why we are in this position this year, but I don't think fatigue is one of the main ones, or else we wouldn't have the dominance that we had in the 90's. For that matter, you could say that about any other dynasty that made long playoff runs every year like the Isles and Oilers.

I'm going to forward this post to all your neighbors.

Especially since the Flames don't deserve a point in this game. They've played like s***.
-
Totally. Those dumbasses in the UFC need to start using it.

I left for a while. What did spotpick......I mean Iginla do?

The Hitman is the best thing that ever came out of your city. Oh and I still hate that ***** Shawn Michaels.

I wish Austin would come back. If that old clown Flair is still wrestling, why can't he?
-
We need to win this in regulation. Can't give these bastards even one point.
-
This is infuriating. Calgary deserves to win this game like Donald Trump deserves to win the lottery. They've done nothing in this game but score 1 lucky goal and then sit back and play the lookout defense.
-
Iginla doesn't like taking his visor off.
-
Yeah, Cleary looks useless unless the playoffs have started. Don't know why he's getting 2nd line minutes.
-
I know. I'm tired of that s*** happening all the time.

Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys

Someone must have had too much peyote down there to come up with that thing. -
Boy how I missed those Crosby commercials.

You divide points by games played. So Thornton does have a higher PPG playoff and regular season numbers than Datsyuk. I personally would take him over Datsyuk, but I know others here would disagree. I just think it's funny that anyone should call out Thornton for his playoff problems and advocate Pavel over him instead. The pot calling the kettle black.
-
Anything west of Detroit is on the west coast.
-
Thornton is having a much better year this year, and as for their playoff production, I'm too lazy to check, but I bet Thornton's playoff PPG is about the same if not better than Pavel's. Datsyuk is a better two-way player, but I'm not so sure that I'd rather have him than Thornton. Pavel can disappear for stretches as we've unfortunately seen in the past, including this year.
