I forgot to mention it, but I'd also like to see the Flying V just for a few games. I doubt they'd ever bring that back for the whole season, though. -
About freaking time. I guess they got scared with the playoffs coming up and all, with games being blacked out on Center Ice. I guess if the Wings don't make the playoffs, I'll be able to at least watch the Eastern Conference playoffs on Versus.

So why the earlier start time? Usually, west coast games are an hour later.

Yes, thanks I saw it. I remember visiting the site in the past, but kind of forgot about it, so it was good to be reminded of it again. Definitely a terrific resource, especially for posting pictures rather than descriptions, which I kind of wish I did. -
Why not? Last year everyone wanted Columbus and look how that turned out. Imagine if we had played Anaheim in the first round instead, with San Jose playing Columbus.

I don't know if that counts since they never wore it. I would have loved to seem in it for at least a year. Mike Keenan is such a party pooper. -
I also said Sharks, although I think they'd be more amped up than they've ever been in the first round, with Detroit playing them. For once, the Sharks wouldn't be a huge favorite like they always are, although they'd still likely be favored.

I don't think it was that bad. It's not like he put him in the figure four lock, like the announcers were comparing it too. Talk about embellishment, those Pens announcers were stretching it there.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I figured people would agree with me on some and disagree on others. As Tane said, yeah I do have a preference for the jerseys that teams wore when I started watching hockey. Also, I'm apparently the only person that wants to see the Flyers wear cooperalls for at least two to three games a season. -

I'm not familiar with that area of the country, but would Carolina Whalers have been a bad name? That way they could have at least kept the jerseys or the jersey scheme even if they changed the logo. -
In that case Calgary, because if they lose tonight, they'll be 4 points behind Nashville. Just thinking short-term here.

Calgary is going to be pissed for tomorrow night. Let's hope the Wings return the favor after last week's game. We can't afford to lose to them again, home and away. Time to put these f***ers in the rearview mirror.

From 95 to 98, they made three Stanley Cup Finals appearances and an appearance in the WCF in 96. Other dynasties have had even longer runs than that. -

I don't really mind their jersey, although it is odd that they basically ripped off the Timberwolves logo for their own idea. -
They should market Stamkos if he continues this meteoric rise.

It's amazing that some marketing experts went to college for 4 years, and that's what they came up with as a logo. It's even more remarkable that the team signed off on it. Then again, the Stars have had more logos than any other team, since the California Golden Seals and Cleveland Barons were incorporated into the North Stars. -
