Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys
GMRwings1983 replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
You have to be more specific with Vancouver, because they've had so many jerseys. Are you talking about the ones they wore in the early 90's like say when they went to the Finals? That's pretty much my complaint with the Ducks jersey. -
Well, then I answered your OP. Mods, close the thread please. We found a workable solution.

Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys

Yeah, they had the purple/gold Lakers style jerseys. Those were cool, but I'd take the Gretzky era ones better. I don't know if ripping off the Lakers would work now. -
Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys

I remember hearing something about the Ducks players being embarrassed about the logo and team name, but I never felt that way. I understand they wanted to look tough with their new jerseys, but they could have at least attempted to create a new logo. F for effort to them. -
How about having the Penguins play every year against an All-Star team comprised of the best players from around the league?
-
But they'll have more to play for than any of those teams, which will likely give them an advantage in desperation.
-
Yep, especially after Calgary beat us in our rink. So much for people who talked about how tough Nashville's schedule was and all that s***. Strength of schedule is overrated.
-
The NHL needs to rig this s*** to get us into the playoffs. Do they really want the one and done Flames and Preds in the playoffs? Those teams would both get swept by either San Jose or Chicago and no one would bother watching.
-
I hope Max Talbot doesn't play in that game.
-
Knowing our luck, the Preds and Flames will both win. LA and Vancouver are bound to relax knowing that their teams are already in the playoffs. Especially, LA, since their s***ty franchise never makes it into the playoffs. Theyr'e already planning a parade most likely. I know I'm overreacting, but I'm just pissed that neither the Flames nor Preds go into some horrific tailspin or get hit with tragic injuries. They just keep on beating teams like the Kings who have owned us.
-
He'll have to play one of these games to give Howard rest, but no way is he the playoff goalie, after doing nothing to help the team get to the playoffs. Babcock has stated that Howard is the number one guy and has acted like it.
-
I'm glad "ginger boy" Bryan Campbell got hit. He was running his mouth off last year about Kronwall's hit on Havlat. Take that *****!
-
No, because other people were injured. It'd be hard for him to score 50 playing with GR players all over the lineup.
-
I heard today that he has 12 points in his last 6 games! That includes 9 goals in that stretch. Don't know if I heard correctly, but that's incredible.
-
I don't think teams would overlook us like we've seen in the past with lower seeds. San Jose would definitely be up for that series, as would Chicago. They'd know the Wings aren't a typical 8 seed.
-
Way to promote yourself NHL. Kick the best player in the world out of the game.
-
Thank you Tyler Myers for being a ******* dumb ass. Couldn't have done it without you.
-
Hopefully Calgary won't show up tomorrow night, knowing that they could still overtake the Wings when they play head to head.
-
Call me a pessimist, but I'm in shock that we didn't blow the 3rd period and actually won the game, and in OT no less where we usually suck badly.
-
Rafalski is easier to beat than a mule.
-
Draper will score one.
-
Have you been watching our powerplay?
-
Pretty much a must win game with Trashville winning last night, and Calgary most likely winning tonight with the pace they're on. We can't afford to go behind 2 or 3 points to either of those teams.
-
Spot on. I've said this before, but teams like Phoenix, LA and Vancouver were in the same boat a month ago, and they pulled away because of winning streaks. Calgary looks like they're on a streak now, and we have to end it when we play them next week. This team needs to go on a run because even winning 3 out of 5 may not be enough right now.

All those players on the list are past their prime. And Brodeur isn't the best goalie ever, although I'll leave that to another topic, since that's been debated enough times here already.
