Pretty much a must win game with Trashville winning last night, and Calgary most likely winning tonight with the pace they're on. We can't afford to go behind 2 or 3 points to either of those teams.

Spot on. I've said this before, but teams like Phoenix, LA and Vancouver were in the same boat a month ago, and they pulled away because of winning streaks. Calgary looks like they're on a streak now, and we have to end it when we play them next week. This team needs to go on a run because even winning 3 out of 5 may not be enough right now.

All those players on the list are past their prime. And Brodeur isn't the best goalie ever, although I'll leave that to another topic, since that's been debated enough times here already.

I don't know if he'd want to come back here after the way this season has gone. He and Babcock aren't the best of buds right now.

The Pens would have won all 6 at this time last year.

Selanne should have been ranked a little higher, and "Fatso" should have not been ranked ahead of Lidstrom. Just look at his playoff performances the last few years and that'll tell you that he's not deserving of the top slot.

That's why it's hard for me to feel sorry for the Wings when Calgary wins. We had a chance to go up 3 points on them and blew it. If you want something done in this world, you have to do it yourself. Can't count on losers like Ottawa to do it for you. At this point, it looks like Calgary is going on a run right now. Nashville might be the easier team for us to pass.

Our powerplay wasn't very good. All those chances, and we only scored once, and even that was a fluke goal that bounced off a skate. I'm thinking about becoming a Hawks fan after seeing that lackluster powerplay of ours. Does that make me a bandwagoner?

Lilja totally punked out John Scott all game. His team was down 4, yet that big wuss never once tried to initiate anything or run players. That's enforcing at its best.

O.K. so I called out a Finn for being cheap. Big deal. I don't think Ruutu has left cheapshotting behind, no matter what kind of season he's having. What did he do an interview where he promised he wouldn't run anybody into the boards illegally or something?
