Yeah, I'm pretty sure Keith Primeau would have made my list had I been a little older. I was just thinking about that because I always liked the way he played the game.

We have a lot of older veteran leaders on the team, but let's face it, those players have never been in this position of having to battle for a playoff spot this late in the year. It shows too. The team doesn't seem to know how to play a full 60 minute game and how to prepare themselves for this situation properly. We always rave about the leadership when we win in past seasons, but it's fair now to question these leaders when we're losing. They can't motivate themselves or the team to show up all the time, because usually they're coasting at this time of year, just getting ready for the playoffs. It seems to me like they have no clue how to handle this pressure and this particular situation, and the idea that every game is much like a playoff game.

Not me. Those were my Baywatch days. Started liking the Wings sometime in the mid 90's when I started to watch sports in general.

I was talking about my time. I was like 10 when Probert left the Wings, so I can hardly remember him as a Wing, unless I watch old fight tapes of him. Also, Kocur was past his prime during his second stint with the Wings. I just chose players with the most longevity in my time. Not my fault I'm not in my 30's like some other posters.

Maybe it's a good thing that we lost game 7 last year. It'd be embarrassing to win two straight Cups and miss the playoffs the following year.

We wouldn't be, but still it's hard to say that now with everyone back. I won't feel sorry for them for missing thye playoffs, I'll just be pissed at them instead.

Apparently. They have trouble focusing and playing hard all the time. It's a by-product of laziness. They show up one night and not the next. What's so ubeleivable about that?

Yeah, but those first round exits were because of hot goaltending, not because of laziness and blown 3rd periods, as well as not showing up for a full 60 minutes. Also, our goalies were giving up many bad goals in those playoff losses. This is a different problem with this team.
