Dude, everytime Ericsson is on the ice it's a bad matchup. I wish they just gave him the rest of the year off with these games being so important. Hopefully, he'll add 20 pounds in the offseason and learn the game of hockey before he gets back in the lineup.

How many players from Team USA would have made Team Canada?

I think he was referring to Karl Malone making Team Canada's basketball team. That's the only thing I can surmise from that post. -
Brad May needs to get more votes.
-
This is why I love having you here. Otherwise, I would have had to post that for everyone.
-
My approval rating is dropping faster than Obama's right now. I must have posted something negative in the past to have garnered this.

Parise Miller Kane (maybe) -
Obviously any win would be good, but to win in regulation would be awesome, to put Calgary behind by 3 points. We need a much better start than what we had against Chicago. I want us to come out and blow this much less talented Calgary team out of the water. Hopefully, Kiprusoff will play like he did against team USA.

You want some too?

Nobody is going to have a high reputation. We all freaking hate each other here. Well, maybe the mods will from a sucking up standpoint.
-
Apparently, if it hits -50, that poster gets banned automatically. At least that's what Matt told me via PM
-
Oh look, another one of my many fans on this board. Get in line dude. I can't differentiate you amongst any of my other haters. You're lucky I retired from flame wars, or I'd put you in your place kid.
-
Yeah, I'm afraid of that. Unlike Kirk Maltby, I realize that my agitating days may be over.
-
Highly unlikely that Atlanta will get into the playoffs, though.
-
Interesting. So if mindfly gets banned (which is more than likely), then I have a good chance to take over the top spot.
-
And you are who again?
-
Yeah, but the fact that they weren't playing to the best of their abilities means that it wasn't as good a team. They were better on paper, but not on the ice. The 2009 team will go down as a more skilled team, but ultimately not a better team. In 2008, we didn't have many passengers in the playoffs. Everyone played well in those playoffs (even Lebda). Last year, however, too many guys had a bad playoffs and were just along for the ride.

Speaking of reputation, whatever happened to that "most irritating poster" poll that you started several months ago?
-
Wait, so I can't increase my own reputation points? That blows. You don't expect me to be nice to everyone all of a sudden just so others can increase it for me? I'm not liking this new feature.
-
Haha, I have a better reputation than you. That's what you get for being a dick around here.
-
I said Lidstrom, because he's irreplaceable. Howard is not irreplaceable. We could have gone after another goalie or possibly given Ozzie more time to get his s*** together. Who'd replace Lidstrom, especially since Kronwall was hurt all year?
-
What, don't you want to see the Phoenix Coyotes playing a daytime NBC game in the WCF? I can just see the hype for that s***.
-
Wait, where is this reputation thing you guys are talking about?
-
Sharks. We own them, and besides if we lose, they don't have as many annoying fans as Chicago and Vancouver that would never let us hear the end of it. The kind of trolling we would see from opposing fans would be astronomical.
-
No you have to go one step further. A Phoenix/Ottawa SCF would do that trick one better.
-
Wrong. The 2008 team had a little more grit all season and played with more grit in the playoffs. The 2009 team, on the other hand, took too many nights off all season and didn't seem to have the same discipline and hunger needed to win. The physicality wasn't there in their game. They just played too soft on too many nights. Even with the addition of Hossa, they were not a better team on the ice because of their work ethic.
