Sharks. We own them, and besides if we lose, they don't have as many annoying fans as Chicago and Vancouver that would never let us hear the end of it. The kind of trolling we would see from opposing fans would be astronomical.

No you have to go one step further. A Phoenix/Ottawa SCF would do that trick one better.

Wrong. The 2008 team had a little more grit all season and played with more grit in the playoffs. The 2009 team, on the other hand, took too many nights off all season and didn't seem to have the same discipline and hunger needed to win. The physicality wasn't there in their game. They just played too soft on too many nights. Even with the addition of Hossa, they were not a better team on the ice because of their work ethic.

That's great news. We haven't heard news like that all year on the injury front. We have the talent to wipe the ice with Calgary as long as we show up and compete out there. Ericsson does scare the s*** out of me, though. -

What the hell has happened to this guy? He was our best player earlier this season and now he looks disinterested. Is he injured, is he a guy that only steps up when others are hurt, or is he just plain lazy and sucky? Honestly, I can't believe how quickly he went from being awesome to being invisible out there. I know he assisted in this game, but he just has no scoring touch anymore.

I don't think that should be the goal. We need to do better than break even. We have too much talent to break even, especially with all those home games.

That's fine. We have a big advantage on those 2 teams in terms of talent. If we bring it every game, we'll make the playoffs. Those teams probably can't say the same with their rosters. We just can't have any games like the Vancouver game where we don't try hard. If we show up every game, we'll make it in.

That's O.K. At least we've pulled away from teams like Dallas, Minnesota, Anaheim and St. Louis. Like I said, now it's three teams fighting for two spots. We just need Nashville to lose, so that we can remain one point ahead of them. Just look at it this way, Calgary losing would have meant us losing. That's how it seems to work.

I hope Vancouver does to Nashville what they did to us. If not, I'll hate Vancouver. As for Calgary, I knew they'd win as soon as we did. Can't wait till we play these teams again. That will make or break us.

Probably San Jose. Nabokov hasn't been great in big games, but he's better than either of Chicago's goalies. If the Wings won't make it in, I'm rooting for Phoenix all the way.

I've found that hitting on them works quite well.

Williams has been doing well since he came back from injury. Miller is probably more expendable, since this team has many lower line checkers and those guys aren't hard to find around the NHL. Also, Babcock loves that right handed point man on the PP thing.

This is the final stretch. If he misses a few weeks, that could be serious for us. We don't need him back in time for golfing in April.
