Much has been made by the NBC broadcasters about how big this game was for hockey in the US. Does anyone here think this game will have a significant impact on the casual American sports fan? If not, would the US winning have made a difference? Personally, I would say no to both questions. I don't think it'll change that much. The hype was great for a few days, but it'll soon go back to no one caring about the NHL and espn blatantly ignoring it.

I hope that shoulder is good in time for the golf course in April. Just kidding. Seriously, though, he's been one of my favorite players throughout the years and it sucks that he's stuck around a little bit longer than he should have. If he comes back next year, I just don't know what he can add to the team.

So is he going to suit up for them or what? Sucks that they're not in the playoffs, because I'd love to see him push his record number of playoff games up even further.

And it's usually people who know jack s*** about video games. In these newer video game models, making good trades is difficult, especially with the cap. It's not that easy building a good team folks. -
Regional networks are not broadcasted nationally and NBC is a s***ty channel that only shows one game per week and only starts showing games in January. Compared to the other sports leagues, that's not very good exposure. I don't know how you can be satisfied with that.

Tough to say. In one sense, we are and 8th place team and teams in that situation usually make trades to move up. In another sense, this team looks good on paper, and there's no telling whether they'll bring it together or not. Holland seems to think they will and feels like they have the best team possible. If I was him, I'd entertain some options and see what's out there instead of making these sweeping announcements. -
Imagine if Ericsson wasn't on this team. We'd have won this game 3-0. I hope he doesn't play the next game. Babcock needs to send him yet another message and hopefully Ericsson will return with another fight.

I'd put Flip on the 2nd line with Hank. Is it just me or do those two players never play together for some reason?

I can't understand how that roster is anywhere other than last place in the NHL. Before this season, I hadn't heard of 75% of the players on their team.

Great win! We overcame adversity just like I was hoping we would. Now we have 5 out of 6 at home. We need to win all those games and win back our home ice confidence.

That last goal wasn't the refs. That was a s***ty play by Howard. Once again Anderson is outplaying our goalie. That's why they've been good against us this season despite their untalented roster.
