If Sweden beats Canada, they'll be in the Gold Medal game, and if I'm not mistaken, the Wings play the next day. With that said, I can't bring myself to cheer for Canada's team.

Why would Americans hate Canada? Were all the terrorists from there or something? Most Americans don't give Canada enough thought to hate them. Grow up.

They have to intentionally play it. Otherwise, teams would purposefully throw pucks at players leaving for the bench like I said. For a Canadian hockey fan, you should know better. I don't remember this being "always" called in the NHL.

Russia played physical against Canada in the last Olympics, but today they don't have the same intensity.

They showed it against Canada in the last Olympics, but just don't have it now. These KHL players are not used to playing against physical teams. Even guys like Fedorov and Kozlov have not been used to it all season, even though they've played in the NHL before.

You can't blame Canada's defense. When you're up by 6 goals, it's hard to take defense seriously.

This backchecking is laughable. All the stereotypes we hear about Russian players being mostly lazy and defensively weak are true. They only train their centers to play defense. How many Russian wingers in NHL history were good defensively?

That's not good enough when you have that much talent. I know that they aren't happy with their finishes in recent memory. Also, they haven't won a Gold in those last 4 Olympics, while the other top nations have.
