This is it. Against teams like the Czechs and Slovaks, Russia has no problem, because those teams don't crash the net. Against a team that tries to attack like Canada, Russia has no heart.
-
Hey Cern, is that you?
-
Hopefully this prompts the Russians to concentrate more on defense in the future. Tretiak needs to put his foot down and change that hockey program. Their players play defense like you see in video game hockey.
-
This is why I hate Malkin When you cheer against him, he plays well, and when you cheer for him, he plays like a lazy f***. Go to hell and die Malkin!
-
Other than Datsyuk, who would know anything about defense on their team? Fedorov is too old to be a great defensive forward anymore. They just don't do a good job of teaching their players defense over there.
-
I ******* hate Canada, but Russia just did not come to play today. This looks like the Russian teams in the last few Olympics. Plenty of talent, but not much effort.
-
Someone forgot to tell the Russians there was a game today.

Today is going to be the BEST hockey day in a long, long time!

Watch that s*** online. -
Like I said before, Maltby is like the guest that doesn't know when to leave.

Yeah, I've always wondered how you or the other foreign fans watch Wings games. You must have a flexible work schedule or something. -
I like this guy already. Can't wait to see him with the big club. Holland is a God for acquiring this kid. He'll be some valuable muscle in the future.

Sure they do. Let's you and I show Doc Holliday and SWF what a real flame war looks like. I mean who the f*** starts a flame war about taxes of all things? -

It'll definitely be fun. Sucks that Sweden is playing at midnight. I've hardly had a chance to watch either them or the Finns play so far. -
Doesn't he know how to take a cue?
-
How about a diving competition between Crosby and Malkin? Now that would be something to see.
-
Most of us are pulling for Russia, but Canada will probably win. Russia has the most skilled team by far that Canada has faced, but Canada has by far the most physical team Russia has played. I think the home ice advantage will be too much for Russia to handle, as will some well timed Canada powerplays late in the game. With that said, Canada will lose their next game after this to whoever they play. They'll have to run out of gas eventually. Here's to Crosby and Malkin fighting each other in this game.

Man I want to see Pavel play against Hank so badly. Also, Ovechkin versus Backstrom. Also, I want to see Canada lose just because I hate their team and pompous fans.
-
So does this mean Canada has won the Gold Medal?
-
The Germans should send John Tripp out there to goon it up.
-
No the Germans always seem to play this way.
-
Germany never plays with any desire to win. It's like they have some delusional fantasy before each game that they'll score first, and then play some 5 man trap the rest of the way and sit on the lead. Problem for them is that they never score first (or at all), and they seem clueless as to what to do after they're down.
-
If Germany wins, I'm going to get drunk and sing "The Watch on the Rhine" tonight. Go Deutschland.
-
How about a separate forum dedicated only to Crosby?
-
Whatever makes you sleep better, Canuck. Never thought I'd see Canadians bragging about shutting out Norway. It hasn't gotten that low has it?
-
They could probably put me in net and still beat Germany. Based on that, shouldn't they give Luongo a break against Germany and then play him the rest of the tournament? No reason to play him in back to back nights, and then three out of four nights.
