Stuart and Rafalski have both played bad recently in their own zone. Hell, in Rafalski's case, he's always been bad in his own zone. Watching them on the ice together could be a nightmare.

Babcock needs to stop trying to roll 4 lines. The Crosby line is a lot better than their other lines.

I want to see Russia win, just so we can see Pavel vs. Hank and Backstrom playing against his linemates Ovechkin and Semin. That would be fun to watch.

Babcock must have strangled kittens in the offseason, because nothing can go right for him this year. I also don't think it's his fault that these skilled players can't put the puck in the net enough. I blame Crosby for the loss. Guy was terrible in his own zone, and deflected a shot in his own net.

Bobby Orr was a +124 in one season. How's that for a guy that only played offense?

That's a bad break for Russia and I also wish the seeding was different somehow. I don't think they match up very well with the Canadian team. Canada has a much more physical team than anything Russia has faced so far. The Czechs and Slovaks looked afraid to throw their bodies around. I think Canada can play about 25% against Germany and still win, and will likely beat Russia. After that, there's a good chance they'll run out of gas against the remaining competition. On the bright side, maybe we'll finally see that Malkin/Crosby ACL collision that I'm always raving about.

I agree. NBC dropped the ball tonight. Stupid MOFO's. I think Bob Costas should be burned inside of a wicker man. I've had about all I can stand from his coffee house conversations and stupid face. In his own way, he's twice as annoying as any political commentators on TV.

Yzerman put together pretty much the same team anyone would have. They have more gritty players than any other team. They just have a tendency towards choking which is rather hilarious.

As I said during the GDT, I wish that we had never let him go.

That probably means Lidstrom will play terrible tonight.
