I've been known to punch senior citizens when we lose playoff games.

Maltby is like the relative that overstays his visit, but no one in the family has the heart to tell him to leave. Holland and company have known for many years that he was no longer useful, yet they've kept him around waiting for him to decide when to leave. They don't have the guts to tell him otherwise.

In the playoffs, I live and die with the Wings. However, this is the first regular season where I've gotten so angry game after game. Usually, I sleep through the regular season games. These last few weeks have been extremely stressful, as it's looking less and less like we'll make the playoffs.

Who would have thought Jason Williams would be the guy that would rejuvenate Datsyuk? Of all the line combos that get posted on LGW (and there's millions!) I don't remember seeing anyone put Williams on the top line. That line looked awesome tonight.

Yeah, I'm waiting for that 9 game winning streak that we've become so proficient at.

I'm very impressed by the whole game tonight. It never really looked in doubt even when they scored. A solid effort on both sides of the ice and for once it looked like every player came to play. Unfortunately, we'll probably not gain any ground tonight, since other teams win when we win and lose when we lose. Still, it may be the start of a good winning streak. Let's hope our guys stay healthy during the Olympics. I for one could use the Olympic break with how much stress this team has given me the last few weeks.

Since the Wings play tonight, I doubt Lidstrom would have gone over to carry the flag anyway.

I could say the same about your take on staged fighting. Who cares? Most fans of hockey fights like the staged fights. Every now and then someone ******* about them, unfortunately, but I think most fans don't mind.

Right now he leads the league in scoring by 10 points. I don't see anyone really challenging him for this. Miller may be the closest contender, just because he's carried Buffalo on his back and has put up tremendous numbers. If I'm not mistaken, Gretzky is the last guy to win 3 straight Hart Trophies, back when he won like 8 or 9 in a row in the 80's.
