Well, we didn't deserve any points in St. Louis, yet we got 1, while here we deserved 2 points, but wound up with 1. Thus, I guess these games even out. The LA game, however, sticks out like a sore thumb. We should have gotten 2 points there, and I'm afraid it'll come back to bite us in the ass. A month ago I was hoping we'd pull away from the pack like Phoenix and LA have done recently. Unfortunately, though, it looks like it's going to come down to the last week of the season for us. That's what I wanted this team to avoid doing. On an interesting side note, I've never watched ANY Red Wings regular season games with such dread and anticipation, much like it was a playoff game. Now I know what that feels like for other teams' fans.

That sucks. Having a tough guy in the lineup that occasionaly fights has been one of the few bright spots this season from an entertainment standpoint. I hope Holland will continue that mindset and go after a younger enforcer in the offseason. I don't see May playing another season anyway.

I honestly won't watch the playoffs if we don't make it. Especially since I don't have Versus. I'm not going out of my way to watch internet streams of other teams. By watching, I'll also realize what we'll be missing out on. Don't want that.

As I said, Babcock should have pulled Howard for the 5 on 3 in the OT. I know the net would have been empty, but when a team is 2 men down, they don't have many chances at the empty net. With our shootout record, it would have been the right thing to do. We already had a point secured anyway.
