He's 38 and doesn't have the dominance he once had as a fighter. His decade of destruction (or hugging ) is over. I can't remember an enforcer playing till they were 40. Time to retire.

Well, you're the guy earlier in the season that was telling the rest of us how stupid we were for actually thinking this team might miss the playoffs. Now you're complaining about it yourself. Kind of ironic I think.

Just replace him with Anders Eriksson. The man has won a championship before, thus he's a proven winner. Team Sweden needs guys like that.

Yeah, it definitely feels like this team has left a lot on the ice. Everyone talks about how this was supposed to be a rebuilding year, but on paper this is one of the best teams in the NHL. I mean, how is it a rebuilding year when we have just as much talent as we did in 2006 or 2007? Those years we had pretty good records. There is really no excuse for this team to miss the playoffs. We've had no more than 2 or 3 guys injured the last month or so. That's about the same as what every other team in the NHL has right now. Nobody is completely healthy. I compare this team to those Rangers squads early in the last decade, which had great talent, but never made the playoffs and looked to have no chemistry together. Don't know why all of a sudden the swagger and confidence these players have built up over the years from playing together has disappeared? They all play like strangers out there who've never been together on the ice.

If these players want to play in the Olympics so badly, they'd find a way to stay healthy. Kronwall has himself to blame for trying to make that hit on Staal in the OT. That was s***ty timing for it, and he got hurt in the process. Careless play that resulted in an injury.

In other words, he'd lead the entire team in scoring? No way. He's not the kind of guy that could lead a team full of underachieving players out of a s***hole. He's a guy that always played well when everything else was going well, and when the team was putting up huge numbers. Hudler would be an improvement over some of our other players, but he wouldn't be scoring more than Pavel or Hank. He ain't that good.

He'd probably be underachieving or injured like everyone else on the team. The KHL is a league where a soft player like him can succeed and be one of the league leaders in points. Wouldn't work here in the NHL for him.

I still blame the team doctors for everything. We need to hire away doctors of other teams in the offseason, preferably teams that don't ever get hit with injuries.
